We think Jethro must have felt a bit of left out last weekend at Cromwell after having bit of an underperformance! … but he certainly turned things around today at Riccarton in the R60 2100m ridden well by Danika Wilson getting 2nd at the right end this time!! 🎉
Huge thanks to Sara Fisher, Jethro’s breeder and the others in his syndicate for giving us the opportunity to train him. 🙂

What a fantastic 2 days of racing we’ve had at Cromwell this weekend …. Couldn’t be happier with the horses. Just 2 in on Friday for:
1st - Fingerprinted, Maiden 1400 with Kavish Chowdhoory
2nd - How Unusual, R65, 2030m with Lee Calloway

Really can’t express how chuffed we are with the race team today at Ashburton.
1st: The Bold Lioness, R65 2200m, it’s her 1st start for us, ridden by Kavish Chowdhoory
3rd: Jethro, R65 2200m in the same race as The Bold Lioness, ridden by Denby-Rose Tait
3rd: How Unusual R65 2200m, ridden by Lee Callaway
…. The stayers seem to be enjoying our training style atm! 😜

About Us

Luke Wyatt - Born and raised on the West Coast and horses have always been in my blood. I have ridden since a young child and my passion has always been with western riding, handling and breaking. I have had experience in the rodeo circuit as a bronc rider and have worked in Canada roping cattle for branding. I’m hugely passionate about starting horses and have a calm and patient manner with them.

Emma Power - Bought up on the hills of Banks Peninsula. I have been riding since before I could walk and come from a horse mad family. My main discipline is show jumping, however have had many years experience in the racing industry where I rode and trained with Ross Beckett. Since then the focus has been on jumping and bringing young horses up through the heights. I have started a team of horses from scratch & enjoy every achievement made with them.

In the winter and off season we like to give the show jumpers some hunting experience and also focus on covering some different terrain with green broke horses to help broaden their horizons and give them a change of scenery.
