I have been very slack in posting lately! Life has gotten busy so the Social Media had to take the backseat for a bit.

Had our first session with puppy .thefirst on Friday! For us this was mainly a get to know each other walk and playing some engagement games.

He is such a confident and adventurous pup that knows what he likes/dislikes. He's a funny boy, can't wait to see him next!

Found a new trial that goes up the side of the hill to get to the summit! Kobe had a right blast going up and down this trail!

Arlo out for his training session on Wednesday! So glad his little white whiskers are starting to grow back.

Arlo has gotten better at loose-leash walking while out in a new environment with more smells and distractions around. His recall while on a long line is great too, coming when called and when he hits the end of the leash, and more frequently checking in with me.

We took a break from the sun under the trees by the same swing I hang out with older brother Max under. We watched the people and other dogs go by calmly with none of his usual barking, choosing to carry on sniffing the trees and fence lines instead!

Got a loud welcome back from these guys now that they're back from holiday! Marmite just had to tell me all about his holiday and how great it was while Hobnob tried to sit in my lap and give all the kisses we missed out on the last few weeks 👅

Today we did a check in since it was too hot to walk on the pavement. We tore up some cardboard on their lawn, did zoomies, played tug and got lots and lots of cuddles!

During walks we quite often get told "Aww what a cute puppy~" despite Kobe being a fully grown at 2.5 years and being taller than me when he stands.

Must be the big ears he hasn't grown into 😆 What do you guys think?

Arlo looking so pretty on his training walk today 🌼

This boy has big feelings about the world around him so we worked on desensitizing him to his environment by walking a short way to the shops and sitting on the corner watching the world go by. Arlo isn't a big fan of strangers so he barks at them to go away so whenever a human would walk by us I marked and rewarded him for noticing them and remained calm throughout.

He is getting better at loose-leash walking and learning that hitting the end of the leash means to circle back around before we keep going.

Max showing off his pearly whites with this action shot.

The bad weather from last week and this weekend has made Max stressy on his walks, making him more prone to reactions and being nervous about the environment in general.

We let him decompress at the park after onlead street walks and do one of his favourite things.. catching treats! Honestly, throw it fast or slow, far or close, this boy WILL catch them!

Arlo did great during his second session with me today! We worked on some boundary work at the gate which he picked up very quickly and then went for a neighbourhood walk to practice loose-leash walking and watch the people go by.

We took lil Max out for a training walk this afternoon. He is very anxious once the initial excitement of being outside has worn off. He becomes hyper vigilant towards anything that moves eg. Bikes, scooters, birds, and is particularly reactive towards strangers and other dogs.

Today we took him to an empty park to work on engagement, teaching him the marker word "yes" and his loose-leash walking.

Just Hobnob for a walk today. Marmite has broken a toe nail so he is on bed rest, much to both of their dismay. Hobnob spent half the walk looking back waiting for Marmite 🥲

We have been teaching Kobe "paws up" after seeing how much he likes to jump up on things. This will be a handy tool for his mum to help with his reactivity by giving him something else, something he enjoys doing, to disengage from other dogs.

The post was a bit of a challenge for Kobe as the target area is narrower than he was used to but after a couple tries he got the hang of it!

We walked to somewhere different in their neighborhood today and found an empty road going nowhere. No idea what the road was for but we were compelled by the massive row of trees and the shade they provided on such a hot day ☀️
