Keysar Rescue is a not-for-profit animal rescue organisation dedicated to providing a safe haven for homeless and rescued dogs and puppies until we can find them responsible, loving homes. We believe that all pets should be treated with dignity, respect, and kindness. We believe in showing compassion and working to rehabilitate abused and abandoned pets. At Keysar Rescue we educate people and our

communities about the importance of these principals as well as the importance of spaying and neutering to reduce the number of abandoned pets. We rely strenuously on donations & support from the Community so we can continue our work to keep on moving & saving the forgotten. Hi Team 👋,

I'm reaching out on behalf of a family who's eagerly willing to adopt our precious Millie whos been with us for 2yrs. However, fate led them to a couple of terrified am bully cross pups, found mistreated, marks of tape wrapped around their mouths and both terrified 😢. Luke, our hero, took them in and showed them love and care 🥰. It's apparent the pups are very bonded, leaning on each other for support. As of now, we're on the hunt for potential foster or forever homes🏠, to show these pups that not all humans are cruel.

We are deeply asking for your help in this matter, to find these pups the home they deserve 🙏. If you can provide that loving home, or know someone who can, send me a message 📩. I will forward your info to Luke.

🐾 We had a lovely visit from one of our foster family's this morning, picking up some extra food for our darling Crumpet, who's patiently awaiting her forever home while in foster care.

But, guess what? The amazing Mocha wasn't a shy pup today 🎉! Seriously, it was amazing! She confidently trotted up to Amy and her hubby, asking for their love and affection. What a star! Thanks Amy for showering our pups with endless snuggles 🥰.

Feeling a bit beat down here. Is it going to be 3rd time lucky? 😔 Seriously hate the idea of Mon & Scott from Pukatowi PackandPride having to pack up and move all over again... The stress, the worry, but mostly for the dogs. Their client dogs and then there's the beautiful rescue pups. Feels like they've seen enough hardship 🐕💔. Everyone has a past, they've grown and changed because of it, and found solace through these dogs 🐾.

Mon and Scott have been offering mistreated, abandoned dogs a second chance 🙏. They're aware of the desperate needs these dogs have. They've made a home for these dogs twice already 🏡. I still remember the call, pure joy in their voices when they got the green light for this home, fire works were blazing in their eyes.

For now, we're hoping for nothing more than a glint of hope 🙌. Lives have changed for the better because of the sacrifices made.

To the next Landlord: PLEASE look into Mon and Scott's eyes before signing that contract. You'll see a powerful, yet heartbreaking story 🥺.

Do us a favor everyone, pass this on. Maybe we can help find a wonderful place, that'll hit a home run for our dog-loving duo 🏡🐶.

Mon and Scott don't deserve the stress. They are good people! They LOVE dogs and would cram them between bookshelves if it meant saving one 📚🐕. And that, that's what tears me up 😢.

If you're in Tuakau, you know how much it's pouring 🌧️ out here tonight. But it didn't stop these fantastic fellas that drove over an hour out to us, gave us a canopy for our Rescue ute and installed it. They didn't let the rain stop them from getting it done - right then and there, in the downpour! These guys have just kept our rescue dogs dry when out on the roads, and I couldn't be more grateful. Big shout out to these amazing guys - they're the real MVPs! 🙏 The dogs and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts! 💓 Just goes to show there's some wicked animal lovers out there. Rain or shine 💪 🐕 💪

A little bit about our sweet Mocha. She's such an extraordinary sweetheart, truly something special. 🐾 From a terrified little pup, she's blossomed into this wonderfully gentle, playful and affectionate girl, even acting like a big sister to the smaller pups!

At just 10 weeks, she's got an impressive recall, walks so beautifully on her harness, and boy, does she love her tennis balls - it's like they're the best of friends! 🎾 She's also crate trained, house trained and knows her routine down to a tee - toilet, breakfast, play, then nap.

The term 'food-driven' fits Mocha perfectly - she's basically a treat hound! 🦴 This means she doesn't have any other tricks up her furry sleeve just yet, but she will be very easy to train further.

Perhaps the most heartwarming part is how she adores children and loves greeting people. It did take her some time to come out of her shell, but now I can't help but beam with pride when I see her fearlessly saying hello to everyone. 👋

She's not a digger or jumper - if you don't give her a reason to do it, she won't. The ideal home for her would be a family who love their walkies and have a spacious area for her to chase her crazy tennis balls. She also enjoys going for a ride in the car! 🚗

For anyone wanting to meet the darling Mocha, she's here with us in Tuakau. Do drop by, I guarantee she's bound to steal your heart in an instant.

Those three little rovers who've been evading the locals for almost two weeks in the streets of Sth Auckland? Yes, those. Managed to corral them today, despite their fear and speed. 🏎️

They were scared, biting and squealing when they were picked up one by one, but some warmth and heart beats settled them. Once they were calm, got them into the van smoothly. 🚐
Thankyou to the locals and workers who were respectful when I asked them to back down when I arrived. I really appreciate it and thankyou for trying in the past 2 weeks.

They're safe now with us. Vet visit, deworming, the drip, special recovery food, the works. 🐶🩺 They've thrown up some pretty bizarre stuff - orange earplugs, wipes, even a half eraser. But they're getting there. A cozy bath also on the agenda later today. 🛁

So, no need to pitch in for fostering. We've got it from here. 👍 Vets are lined up for the week. Send up some prayers for their speedy recovery. 🙏💙

- Those locals are the real heroes, they were their voice.

Update: Her life is now living on a thin line between now and where her fate could end up. Please help.

Hey Everyone! A life line is needed. 🙏🏽

An American Bully X Amstaff is in urgent need of a loving home 🏡!! She was discovered abandoned and has been through a lot. Despite everything, she gets immensely excited when seeing people, probably her way of showing how much she craves affection.

She must be in a new home by this Friday, or the weekend at the latest 🗓️. She can't stay in South Auckland any longer and needs to be moved immediately!

She is generally ok around other dogs 🐶 but introductions are crucial. Unfortunately, I can't keep her with me, as we're filled to capacity and our funds aren't that great right now (but we are greatful).

Absolutely no foster homes, as she needs stability to recover and flourish. I am pleading for help in steering her towards a better life, show her that there are still good people out there. She's full of love to give, it's written all over her. She just needs someone to give her a chance 💕

Hey team, just updating you on 𝗠𝗮𝗺𝗮 𝗟𝗶𝗹𝘆. Her journey with us was touching, yesterday the pups surprised us as they seemed lost without her, waiting for the sunset. They even followed each other in a trail with little Mocha in the lead 🥺. It was so heartwarming, showing the impact she had on them.

Bright news though, she had a wonderful first night in her new home and enjoyed her first cafe visit this morning. Her sweet soul shone brightly with us and we're thrilled she's found a loving home.

Finally she's living her dream, just as we hope for all those still waiting...😔

🎉 It's been a hell of a ride but we finally made it! 🛠️ Last year we were barricading ourselves pulling metal construction gates across with sheets upon sheets trying to fight off the cold. 🥶 Now, thanks (to the same blokes that came out last weekend for our gate), who donated their time & tools, we finally have an insulated wall and door! 🚪

Our Ministry and small Rescue have gotten an ashtonishing amount of support, and it's just breathtaking. 🥺❤️

These pups won't even have a clue that winter's just around the corner! 🐶❄️ At last, I can say goodbye to those old sheets, blankets, heaters & tarps... We've got an actual wall & door! 😄

Big shoutout to our property owners who have been a pillar for us throughout this journey. You guys totally rock! 🤘🍻

Now it's dinner time and we're all eating out doors tonight..... waiting on that notorious sunset 😉

So happy for the pups right now 🤩😍🤩

Kick-starting our Saturday morning in the most 🐾 pawsome way! Our three puppies, Midnight, Mocha, and Hazelnut, have hit the road for the Bunnings Takanini Event with Tony (major thanks for making the drive buddy!) They're all spruced up and fed, wearing their bright collars like the stars they are! 🐶🌟 Please pop in for cuddles ☺️

There's been a first for Mumma Lily too 🤩 - starting with the SAFE Socialising program. Big day for her today, absolutely! And guess what, she's got a 'meet and greet' lined up tomorrow with a fantastic family from beautiful Napier. The prospective parent had a dream about Lily recently - could it be fate? We'll wait and see, but in the meantime do wish her all the luck, hope a special connection is made. 🍀🤞

Next on the agenda is to gather our 'must-have goodies' from Manukau Animates, once I get those doggy play lawns mowed. Can't thank enough the ace team at ASB-EAST BRANCH!

Woke up feeling grateful today, like always when your surrounded by DOGS. 🙏

Just when I thought our weekend couldn't get any better, it got topped off with the shiniest cherry on top! 🍒 A heart-stirring shout out and an ocean-sized THANK YOU going out to Zoe Sheldon and everyone at the ASB East Auckland branch! 🎉

Your exceptional team managed to get a 1K grant approved for us, making us able to buy some much-needed puppy food! 🐶 Yes, you heard that right! Even our adult dogs can't wait to dig in and then there's our 'mumma' dogs... Oh, they're in for a treat! This is just... WOW. Mind-blowing! 🤯

I desperately wish I could thank each and every one of you on the team with a beautiful bunch of flowers on behalf of all our RESCUE dogs. But as you know, every cent counts with us. 😔

So, here's another big THANK YOU to you, our animal-loving ASB branch in East Auckland. You guys are the best! 🙌

Well, well, well...🐾 Remember when they found you scared at the back of a waste bin? Fast forward a few weeks later, you were under our care and we promised to find you the best loving home that would spoil you endlessly, include you in all family adventures and cherish you above everything!

The moment we introduced you to your new mum, it was an instant connection. Then came the sweet kiddos and you felt so at home, you rolled on your back, just waiting for belly rubs. 😄

But the final seal of approval was from Kobi, the king of the house 👑. The moment Kobi stepped out of their car, it was up to him to choose you and what do you know, it was love at first sight! You both clicked-on like magic 🐕 🐕

And guess what, today is Kobi's 1st birthday 🎂 and Ruby, we think you're the most precious gift he could've asked for. This family had recently lost their senior dog of 15 years. So it wasn't a coincidence, it was fate that led them to adopt you, beautiful Ruby.

Thank you Pukatowi Pack for taking good care of Ruby, for socializing her and helping her heal. Ruby has been with us for almost a month, and not a day goes by where she doesn't make us smile. She's brought so much joy to the pack and we wouldn't change a thing.

Although her stay with Pukatowi costed me 1.3k alone (as I had no room) - it just becomes priceless, knowing it would've meant the world to her being saved. Money well spent over a holiday - any day for a dog!!

Roam free and enjoy your new life Ruby. 💖 Nothing can compare to the love you've found. So go on, live your best life. You deserve it, sweet girl! 🐶

Hey everyone 🆘️👋🆘️

Once again I'm seeing whether there are two life-lines out there for our previously adopted, Annie & Ted. Also, to let you know that I've met up with them earlier to give them some food: kibble, paw porridge, raw essentials food, treats, and vension bones for them to enjoy. A little something to fill their bellies and make them feel loved. It's heartbreaking that I can't take them back, but I know they deserve a loving home, not just the Rescue facility they once came from.

It was a joy to see them again, their tails wagging in excitement and their eyes lighting up at the sight of food and toys. They're such sweet dogs, both from different litters, but as close as siblings.

However, their situation is dire now. If we can't find a home for them together, we'll have to separate them. It's a tough call, but what's important is that they still recieve ample love, care, and assurance wherever they are.

At 2 years old, they're remarkably good with other pets, children, and adults - they simply love people! They'd make amazing additions to any family, and be perfect companions for road trips, beach & family visits.

If you or anyone you know are looking to adopt, to give these furry friends their forever homes, please reach out. The experience in a home and a Rescue facility is vastly different, and I wouldn't want them to go through the latter again.

No rush decisions, choosing their next family will be a careful process. They're currently in Hunua. Can't stress enough how much your help is needed right now. Thank you 🙏!!!

OMG, huge news guys! Guess who needs glasses now? Please don't tease me too much, LOL.

In other news, turns out Chestnut is a girl, what a plot twist! 🤣🤣🤣
I've decided to rename her Hazelnut, suits her better don't you think?

Oh boy, what a week it has been! How I got that gender wrong is beyond me lol Haven't had my daily dose of coffee in a while 🙈🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️. My brain and vision are all outta whack. Talk about needing a break!

𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲! 😁 𝗟𝗲𝘁 𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗼 𝗛𝗮𝘇𝗲𝗹! 😍 This beautiful, smart, and witty girl is a charmer who loves to please. She's a total roadrunner when it comes to flying toys & tennis balls 🎾. She's food-driven so training her will be a piece of cake 🍰. She's fantastic in the car 🚗 and surprisingly, loves her trips to the vet's 🐾.

Hazel has an absolutely sweet and playful temperament. She's always ready to make new friends, doesn't mind sharing her food, and adores splashing about in clamshells 🌊 and wait till you see her on trampolines and with jumping blocks, she just loves anything bouncy 🤾‍♀️.

The best part? Hazel is house trained 🏠. Show her where to go potty, and she'll aim to please you. She fully understands her boundaries, but sometimes, with all her energy, can turn into a cute little wrecking ball 🚧. But don't worry, all she wants is a good bounce!

She's wonderful with children, babies 👶 and never afraid to say a cute "hello." She's currently living it up in Tuakau and has just turned 8 weeks old 🎂

We are in need of quality photographs of a few dogs that are currently ready for adoption. Your help would be greatly appreciated. As some of you may know, I used to be a photographer myself, but ever since I started the Rescue, my cameras have been set aside. Juggling time & responsibilities with the rest in my care, isn't feasible at this present moment. No pressure though team as I'm sure we'll get there somehow. Hey Everyone! 🙌 No words to express our feeling for today's fun at Takanini Bunnings fundraiser. Special shout-out to this phenomenal woman, Helena! She took a ride from Central Auckland 🔁 just to drop off these wonderful beds for our cuddly pups 🐶. But that's not all... You won't believe what happened! Her sick English bulldog, Freddie was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, he couldn't walk and was about to be euthanised, switched his meds up, then started walking miraculously this morning 🌞. She was so overwhelmed with joy, bought 10 fluffy pet beds from Kmart, and donated them here. What a champ! 🙏 Helena, your generosity melts our hearts, and we are stoked for your bulldog's recovery. So, cheers for his long, healthy, and joyful life. 🐾🎗️ Big thanks to all who came out and dropped food, had a chat, tasted our yummy sizzling sausages 🌭 and donated with open hearts. A massive thank you to Angela Jones for a hefty $200 donation 💟. It's generosity like yours that keeps us going! I cannot take it anymore! 😡😤 I'm continually hearing stories of animals being harmed by a single evening that evolves to a horrifying week of fireworks, over houses, in cats' mouths, for mere laughs, and even scaring dogs. This is for what? Entertainment? 🙅‍♂️ Your neighbors turn into psychos while your scared pets try to escape! They often end up dead, lost, or worse, made a disgusting spectacle for firework fun! 😭 This MUST end NOW! Recently, I found two terrified Rottweilers in Tuakau trembling, running for their lives, but they were lucky to be microchipped 🙏 Looked after, definitely adored. Can you believe they ran from their OWN BATHROOM? 😱 This is absolutely unacceptable, people! Your momentary thrill isn't worth a lifetime of heartache. 🔥💥😔 Waking up to a lifeless beloved pet isn't FUNNY. Enough's ENOUGH. Time to BAN fireworks! 🚫💔

Hey everyone! 🥳 Little Millie just celebrated her BIG 2nd birthday today! 🎈🎂 This kind-hearted sweetheart told her Mummy that she wants the birthday money to go to her furry friends at Keysar. 🐾💕 We are honestly grateful for Millie's continuous support. Eagerly awaiting the day to hug you again, sweet Millie. 🤗❤️ A huge Thank You to everyone for your support. 🙏 It doesn't just mean a lot to me, but also to these second chance rescue dogs 🐶 who never asked to be born. Millie's birthday donation will go towards our vet bills. 💉💰 No matter the challenges, we will stand strong for our dogs. 🐾💪 We shoulder the burden of these bills, ensuring our pups stay joyous and carefree despite it all! 🐕🌈 Thank you once again and happy birthday dear sweet Millie. 💕

From Buddah, now beautifully renamed to Angel 😇, she has found her forever paradise, and boy, just look at that joy in her tail and face! Update on her first few amazing days at her new home 🐾: Pardon me for the late update. Angel (formerly Buddah) is adjusting well here. She started off a bit shy, which was kind of expected. The first couple of days had some growls and a scared tail, but her appetite was fine. 🐶 But just look at her now on day 4! No growling, her tail's up, she's skipping around the house, creating a lovable mess (A shredded box of tissues, gnawed bark all over!). Not to mention, the fifth night had her sleeping alongside our daughter, and now, she even sleeps with us! She's just in love with cuddles, and she has these energy spurts where she only wants to play fetch.🎾 She's an absolute delight and we're thrilled to have her around. The loud noises are still a bit scary for her, mower, vacuum, blender, you get the idea. 🙉 On day 3, she got startled and ran off when hubby started some renovations. We had to go on a little search mission, but the silence from the neighbor's dogs tipped us off. After half an hour, we found her happily playing with them! Whoops! 🤭😂 The search party was not impressed (to say the least!), but apart from that little adventure, she's living up to her name, our little Angel. In memory of our son, she's turned out to be that beautiful Angelic gift we needed. ❤️
