Our big boy "BoyBoy" has such a perfect little stance when we come out to pat him. Both looking strong as ever. Can see their dad's genes powering through 💪🏼❤️
And a lovely announcement that these boys have found a perfect new home, and we are so excited to see them Flourish and grow when they leave us on the 2nd November. Nothing more rewarding than seeing them go to wonderful new homes 🥰🙌🏼❤️

And there we have it, the last x2 F2 little ones born at midnight 🥰 a handsome boy born first and his little sister second.
They couldn't have been more perfect. The little girl has all her correct spots which is a first for my lambing season 🙌🏼🐑❤️
2024 Season - x2 boys and x1 girl F2s (75% VBN). Which is still an absolute win for me with the little girl who snuck in there.
Looking forward to next season as I welcome my very first F3s (87% VBN)

And to kick 2024 lambing season off, we have a stunning F2 boy.
So lovely to see how different males used in servicing changes so much in Markings and how many lambs pop out each season.
It's not a little ewe as hoped but Lou did so well and has done a perfect job with this healthy beautiful boy, who'll be up for adoption 🩵🥰🐑
Thank you Jesus for a safe delivery and holding them both through. All glorifies You and the plans you have especially on this little growing farm ❤️🥰🙌🏼🐑🐑
All 4 Bums were determined to share one food trough 🤣❤️ even though the others were full waiting for them each, 😂🫣 got to love the girls.
Only 1 day out from my first girls due date 🥰🐑 looking forward to it! ✨️
Got the most wonderful update on my two boys who found their perfect forever home in the beginning of this year.
They are looking stunning! Feel so humbly proud ❤️
They are the most precious boys and absolutely love their new humans, they run up for pats and cuddles, and are just living their best life. 🥰
My not so little Sally girl is due for x2 little lambs again this year.
And her daughter who's still here, will be placed with the ram next year.
2025 will be my biggest year yet! But let's look forward to less than a month and the new little F2s will be here 🥰🐑🐑

Without a doubt, I absolutely recommend Caley Glen Valais Blacknose Sheep NZ for their incredible ram services. My 2nd year using their rams (a new ram this year) and I have never felt more comfortable leaving my girls in their care for a month ❤️

Both entered into the Helensville A&P show, for the wool class.
They came 2nd and 2rd in the Ewe Lamb class, and then Reserve Champion over all ❤️
I unfortunately missed who was ribboned what, as I was in the ring with my big Buck boy, while showing him (which he won both his classes 😉), but soon will get the results !
Just beyond happy with all the results of today's show🏆💕

Was absolutely lovely seeing familiar faces and meeting a lot more newer faces and sharing all we know and have learnt while on this journey. This is what I love, learning off others, and seeing how to improve and do better as a farmer/breeder with all my different livestock 💕

- why I pushed their mating at the stud later than a lot of others who are breeding?-
-due to the flooding here in New Zealand, and being in Auckland, it's been just mud and rain, so I felt it safer that they give birth when the sun will be hopefully more out and the land dryer, as I've seen stories or poor little lambs drowning while getting stuck in all the mud ect 💔-
Interesting Fact :
Valais Blacknose Sheep carry for 5months (pregnant for 5months), from the day the purebred Ram is seen mating with the ewe, is the day you start counting.
AND, you can scan/do an ultrasound as early as 50days into the 5month period.

I am very proud and happy to announce the big news !
We will joyfully be welcoming x3 little new F2 valais blacknose lambs in the start of October, but as early as the end of September ❤️
F2 - meaning they are 72% valais blacknose, and 28% away from being pure bred
Lou - 01/10/2023 - she has two beautiful big babies in her tummy 🌻🌻
Sally - 11/10/2023 - we were only able to see one tiny little baby in her tummy 🌻
A big shout out to one of the most Inspirational and amazing lady that not only scanned my girls, but also provided hoof care for my Anglo nubian goats, and any supplements and ointments I need throughout this journey, she's been the one who I know I can count on and call out at any time.
We all appreciate you beyond words can describe ❤️ 🌻

Interesting Fact :
The VBN sheep are known to have the softest hooves. So winter time is not the best for foot scold and foot rot.
When you see them limping that's the main sign. I'm lucky to only have a small herd so far, so I have barn trained them to herd themselves with the goats into the barn for dinner so they have a good night rest off the wet soil and grass.
Which has been a massive life saver for their hooves, yet still a lot of up keep and totally worth it!
