We have had this gorgeous girl handed into us this afternoon. She appears to be quite young. She unfortunately does not have a microchip or collar. Found on the Torbay end of Beach Road.
Please let us know if you know who she belongs to. Proof of ownership will be required upon collection.
🌴Niue Wrap Up🌴
Kirsten and Steve have just returned from an incredible volunteer trip to Niue, where they provided much-needed vet services to the local community. 🐾💙
In total, the Rock Vets team performed 77 surgeries and 94 health checks! Most of the surgeries were desexing, but they also tackled some more complex cases, including:
• A kitten leg fracture repair
• A dog leg amputation
• A cat pinnectomy (removing the top of the ear due to cancer)
• A few dental procedures
• A lump removal
We are so very proud of the impact they made and they are so grateful for the opportunity to help the animals of Niue. 🙌🐶🐱

Meet Ziggy! ❄️
Ziggy came in recently for a lump removal and was such a brave boy throughout the whole process. 🐶 Here he is rocking one of our fashionable, repurposed fluid bags as a sock! 🧦
When our patients have a bandage on their leg, we use these fluid bags to help keep it dry when they venture outside. It’s just one of the little ways we make sure they stay comfortable and safe during recovery. 💙
🎉 Another chemotherapy milestone 🐾
We're thrilled to share that Ace completed her chemotherapy earlier this week, and we couldn't be prouder of her!
Despite having her hind leg amputated earlier this year, she has shown incredible resilience. Ace's bright spirit and eagerness to overcome challenges never fails to light up our team's day.
We look forward to seeing her continue to thrive. 🧡

If you’ve got a pup between 8-15 weeks old, this is the perfect opportunity to give them a strong start in life. Our four-week program is designed to help your little furball learn essential skills in a fun and supportive environment.

We have had this lovely entire male domestic short hair cat handed into us this morning. He is quite unwell and is needing medical attention. He was found this morning in Torbay and unfortunately does not have a microchip.

Another Milestone!
Miss Skye had her final Chemotherapy session with us on Friday. She had been undergoing treatment since mid May and has been such a brave girl.
Here she is pictured having a celebration in our dog run with nurses Caitlin, Leticia and Rhi.

We are thrilled to congratulate Holly, one of our longstanding canine patients, who has recently completed her chemotherapy! 🐕🧡
Her bravery throughout this journey has been truly inspiring, and we will miss her cheerful presence during her regular visits.
Since January, Holly has shown remarkable strength and resilience in her treatment.
We are incredibly proud of her and delighted to see her doing so well. 🎉

Today we are celebrating our amazing Customer Care Team; Julie, Ruby, and our newest addition, Lauren.
These 3 lovely ladies are the front facing members of our team who greet our clients at the door and take care of their needs until they leave. They make sure your pets are attended to, have their appointments booked, medications ready for collection, answer your phone and email queries, and of course, the most important task of all, providing treats and cuddles to waiting patients! We surprised them with a small gift of a notebook and pen that says 'take note, we think you are awesome' a shared lunch, and a box full of written compliments from the rest of the team!

🐶 Meet Milly, our brave lap Spey patient, enjoying some post-operative pampering with our state-of-the-art Level 4 Veterinary K-laser! 🌟
At ECB vets, we offer advanced post-operative laser therapy to help your furry friends heal faster and feel better. Our K-laser uses infrared and near-infrared light to stimulate a healing process called photobiomodulation. This scientifically proven therapy aids in wound healing, reduces pain, and minimizes inflammation.

Our wonderful Sammy is heading off to work at the Coronet Peak ski fields for the snow season! ⛷️❄️
While we'll miss her cheerful presence and exceptional care, we know she's going to have an incredible time on the slopes. Sammy, your dedication and warmth have touched so many lives here, and we have no doubt you'll bring the same joy to your new adventure.
We are hopeful that this isn't goodbye, just a "see you later." Enjoy every moment, Sammy, and know that you'll always have a place with us!

A reminder that our fundraiser quiz night is coming up this Friday, 10th May! This quiz night is to help fund our new annual trip to Niue.
A couple of reminders: please bring your own nibbles for the table, there is a licensed bar that will be open throughout the night. Theme is 1980’s, there will be a prize for the best dressed and also one for the best team name alongside other spot prizes. This week, our wonderful Sammy completed her Hills Nutritional Nurse Consultation Course!
Sammy has opted to spend her spare time completing her training and even attended a Hills nutritional conference in Tasmania! 🇦🇺
She is now qualified to perform consultations regarding your pet’s nutritional needs, develop comprehensive feeding plans by calculating energy and feeding requirements, and train future nutritional consultants.
