Dog training is not all about cute puppies and cuddles… but this weekend it is 🥰🥰 I get to hang out with Jinx an adorable 11week old border collie.

Little did I know responding to a request for someone to work with and help a litter of puppies, their mum and another dog over a two week period would lead to what it has. Seven weeks later I’m still here and had the pleasure of working with a family who (due to the waitlist for companion animals and the lack of mental health support dogs) have had a litter of field line retrievers. When I joined there was six left from 14. This is one of the best breeders I have ever met, they have done everything right from DNA testing to following the puppy culture program from birth, these dogs have had the best possible start to life seven weeks on all of his beautiful dogs have been placed with amazing families. I am lucky to have had the opportunity to work with these beautiful dogs and will share some of my training and adventures with you all.

I know I haven’t been very active on the socials, to be honest I find it very challenging, however, I am on a mission to do better and let you all in on what I’m doing and how I’m helping dogs.
First thing to let you all know, i am rebranding the training side of the business (everything else will stay the same) so you may see a few changes here and there. First up I wanted to give you a quick look at the new logo and see what you think? I’m very excited for this rebrand and thank you all for your ongoing support 🫶🐶🐾

Socialisation is so very important for your puppies, it helps grow confidence, learn good manners and make new friends 🐾❤️

These three little lady’s had a big day out today, meeting lots of little people and furry friends, zooming on the grass and enjoying a puppucino before a power nap and more zooming.

Over the last nine months or so June has found it hard coping around certain people, dogs and noises and lashes out, she needs a little help to settle and make good choices. Today was the start of our journey together to build June’s resilience and help her cope with these things.

This is the beautiful Rosie, she is 9months old and pulls her mother over on walks, she is high energy and is become a bit of a handful in the yard and at home.
Not to worry Toni is here to help… Today we worked on some simple commands and lots of engagement and enrichment.

Had another great session with Buddy today. This beautiful guy was rescued from life on the chain and adopted by a lovely couple, he is adjusting but just needs a little help using his inside voice and finding things around the house to do to keep him entertained.

Just finished an awesome session with Bella and her mum.
Working on the basics, some enrichment and building engagement is going to make a much happier mum.
She was soooo tired after the session I think she will sleep all day 👏

Loved this mornings puppy school, teaching the little ones to try new, sometimes a little scary things, they were so brave. Tunnels, ball pits and bubbles and more everyone had so much fun 🤩

It was so much fun working with Zaza and his family yesterday.
He is a big emotional boy who needs a bit of help learning how to navigate a happy life. He was so very tired after yesterdays training session, his family sent me this. Brain work it hard 🥰

As some of you will know I volunteer for Chained Dog Awareness NZ helping to train and foster dogs removed from being life-chained.
