✨ First Puppy Class today! ✨
We had four adorable pups join us for the start of their training journey 🐾 Keeping classes small means we can really focus on each pup and their individual needs.

They all had so much fun today, and I can’t wait to watch their confidence grow over the next three weeks. These little ones are already on their way to becoming amazing, well-rounded pups! 💜🐶

🐾 Puppy Power in Action! 🐾

Yesterday’s puppy class was all about cooperative care, enrichment and confidence-building obstacles — and wow, these pups nailed it! 💪🐶

We explored different textures, went over and under obstacles, popped our heads through things (because… why not? 🤭), and practiced calm, positive handling.

💡 Why do we do this?
✨ Build confidence – Learning to tackle new challenges helps pups feel braver in the big wide world.
✨ Boost resilience – A little “hmm, this is new…” moment followed by success teaches them they can handle change.
✨ Set them up for life – Early positive experiences make vet visits, grooming, and daily adventures so much easier.

✨ Training Spotlight: Stevie the Office Pup ✨
Meet Stevie! At 16 months old, he’s been joining his mum at work and learning how to be the perfect professional companion 🐶💼

We focused on crate training to help Stevie have a calm and safe space—especially when clients might not be comfortable around dogs. Our goal is to make the crate feel like the best place in the world 🥰 using positive associations, enrichment, and choice.

Stevie’s still a little unsure about the crate door being closed, so we’re taking it slow and helping him feel confident and relaxed at his own pace. We also introduced some “mat time” for when dog-loving clients are around—building calm around distractions and reinforcing good settling behavior.

Go Stevie! You’re well on your way to being the most polite co-worker in the office 🐾💛

🐾I’m officially a Fear Free Certified Professional! 🐾

I finally got around to sitting down and completing the Animal Trainer Certification Program over the Christmas break and it feels good 😊 👏👏

This certification reflects my dedication to reducing fear, anxiety, and stress in all dogs, building trust and creating positive experiences for all dogs I meet is my top priority. 💜✨

🐾 Meet Loki! 🐶 This super adorable 4-month-old pup has a lot of energy and even more potential! Loki is working on improving his focus, learning how to stay calm and some good play techniques with his dad.

Calmness is such an important skill for puppies—it helps them settle, pay attention, and soak up all the amazing training we throw their way! With some positive reinforcement and patience, I know Loki will show great progress.

DOG FOSTER PARENT SURVEY
If any of you have been a foster parent at all through a rescue could I please ask you to take a couple of minutes to fill out the attached survey, it’s not long. I would very much appreciate it. The survey is completely anonymous so please be totally honest about your experiences and please share with any other fosters you know, thank you.

There is a growing number of abandoned and unwanted dogs/puppies putting pressure on the rescues as a whole. 🌟 Puppy Class Highlights! 🌟

We had an amazing weekend kicking off Class 1 in our puppy school series! 🎓🐾 Some things worked on:

✅ Building foundation behaviors for confident, happy pups
✅ Teaching the importance of tug and play in your training routine
✅ Tackling common puppy frustrations—because we’ve all been there!
✅ Learning to read and respond to your pup’s body language

The socialization session at the end was a joy to watch! Nora and Wilma absolutely stole the show with their playful play bows—so adorable! 🐕💕
