Taking your dog to parks, beaches or daycares without proper structure or professional oversight to socialise is like gambling with their safety and behaviour every time they interact with another dog.

What are the chances it’s going to go right every time?

As a professional dog trainer, I receive weekly calls from dog owners whose dogs have been attacked or had negative encounters with random dogs at the park and now they are dealing with the behaviour side effects.

Allowing your dog to socialise with dogs you know well and that match your dog’s personality and play style is far more beneficial.

Stop risking your dog’s safety and potentially impacting their behavior towards other dogs in the future 🎲

Controlling VS Changing Behaviour ✨ When it comes to dog training, many dog owners aim to control undesirable behaviours. However, there is an important distinction between controlling a dog’s behaviour and changing it. Controlling your dog’s behaviour over changing it has some limitations such as it doesn’t teach the dog a better way, Relies on constant intervention and may result in frustration for the dog. Example: Using a no pull harness to stop your dog pulling. Changing behaviour goes deeper than simply controlling actions in the moment. It focuses on modifying the dog’s overall mindset and creating long term improvements. The only limitation here is your time, patience and consistency. Example: Training your dog to walk nicely on a loose lead instead of pulling. While controlling your dog’s behaviour can be helpful in certain situations, the true goal of training is to change your dog’s behaviour in a way that leads to lasting improvement. Nadia has completed the Certificate in Animal Care and Pet First Aid. She is qualified through completing Canine Training and Behaviour NDTF and is also a professional member of the Association of Balanced Dog Trainers www.abdt.org.uk

She has 6+ years dog handling and training experience, all breeds and all ages. Nadia finds working with dogs very rewarding and is continuously learning and growing.
