North Auckland has got some pretty funky adventure spots. Here's a few of our regular places to hit. Where would you take your best mate for walks in this area? We stray away from doing the standard, repetitive neighborhood strolls. Routine is definately important for these guys, and sometimes we will stick to the same. But for the most part on our pack walks I would say exploring new environments is so much more beneficial in terms of canines sensory and social development, so we are always try to keep it different, changing locations, hitting new areas, parks, water spots and fresh forests! It keeps the walks more interesting for the leader too! ππΊπΏ

Welcome to the Spirit & Howl tribe! πΊ
Hope you are all having an amazing week! My name is Ruby, and recently I have just started up this new business in dog walking called Spirit & Howl π
I am currently half way through my course studying the NZ Certificate in Animal Care, with a dream to someday start up my own rescue center for dogs. In the meantime however, I want to completely surround my days with these beautiful spirits and give them the best energetic time of their lives, so they can come home happy, energized, chill and knackered from a day full of fun! I have previous experience in dog sitting, fostering, walking and even working alongside them in dog friendly cafes as a barista! β
From this course and my past experience with dogs, I do believe that dogs have somewhat become overly humanized, which is not a part of their true nature. Dogs are descendants of wolves, they are pack animals. In our day and age, it is still very much important that if they are to be mans best friend, they are to be trained to be well behaved, under control and not a danger to us all. My business is very much in line with this. To have appropriate and beneficial training so not only can they live their best lives alongside us, but we can live our best lives alongside them. I do still believe however, it is only fair, that with a properly controlled environment, our beloved canines are able to become one with their inner wolf and truely be able to run free, howl to the wind, be in nature and play, the way their ancestors did before them. In my eyes, its having a balance of the both for them to become the most incredible, trustworthy and happy companions β€
