Why did we choose wool to make our HERDD bar totes?
This post gives us a good idea of how versatile wool is, including its ability to breathe & dry out quickly, & hold its structure 🐑
Our wool bar ‘savers’ {aka totes}, are purrfectly sized to fit a HERDD shampoo bar, hugging snug around it.
Once you’ve finished bathtime with the bar in the tote, leave it in there & hang it up to dry. The wool tote will air dry relatively quickly, then you can pop it in the laundry or pet cupboard, ready for wetting down for the next bath.
Our totes make switching to a solid concentrated shampoo {without the plastic bottle} easy.

Wool works wonders in warm weather too.
Think wool is only for cold weather? Think again. Wool's natural properties make it the perfect fibre for warmer months, whether it's in your home or outdoors or even (shock) on your body.
How could this be, you ask?
Wool is:
❄ Thermo-regulating: Wool fibres absorb and release moisture, creating a natural cooling effect that keeps spaces comfortable even when temperatures rise.
👃 Odour resistant: Wool's protein structure absorbs odour molecules and prevents bacteria growth, keeping carpets, bedding, and furnishings fresh.
🌞 UV protecting: Wool fibres naturally absorb UV radiation, offering built-in sun protection for outdoor products like shade sails and garden textiles.
While synthetics trap heat and hold onto moisture, wool breathes and regulates temperature naturally. It's why wool carpets stay comfortable underfoot year-round, wool bedding keeps you cool in summer, and all wool products work brilliantly in New Zealand's varied climate.
Nature designed wool to work in all seasons - not just the cold ones.
