Position - Driver / Cremation Assistant
Job Description
Pets@Rest Ltd is Auckland’s leading Pet Crematorium based in Penrose, Auckland. We are a small busy team of 5 looking for our number 6 to join us fulltime as a Crematorium assistant. The crematorium assistant will be employed to work full time Monday to Friday and a few hours Saturday. The successful candidate must be prepared to start work early mornings but with early finishes. This position covers a wide range of duties, Pet collections from our network of veterinary practices based in and around Auckland, so a good understanding of Auckland is required. A company vehicle will be provided. The successful candidate will be trained in the operation and maintenance of our cremators and cremulation equipment, General maintenance and cleaning of our equipment and crematorium. There will also be interaction with our customers who bring their deceased pets directly to us for cremation. So the successful candidate will have genuine understanding of the human-pet bond and particular empathy for those pet owners going through the pet loss process. After a qualifying period, the successful candidate will be expected to join our on-call roster as Pets@Rest offers 24/7 service. We are looking for a candidate who: Wants to become apart of a successful company and is a team player, Is strong and physically fit and able to lift heavy dead weights, Has customer service skills and is honest and caring and able to interact with our clients at all levels. The successful candidate will Possess excellent time management, organisational skills and able to work unsupervised, have a clean, full NZ driving licence and be able to drive a manual vehicle. Basic computer skills is preferable as the successful candidate will be trained on our inhouse computer software programs. We are seeking someone who is interested in learning all aspects of the pet cremation process and systems and is a quick learner, able to digest the information required to operate our cremation plant once trained. Good Morning Friends, Here is some helpful Information regarding "Special Cremations"
Should you find yourself in a position of having to plan for after life services for your beloved fur-baby and wish to have a "Special Cremation" please feel free to contact us directly.
A "Special Cremation" service is available to pet owners who want their pets cremated carefully and respectfully with only their pets ashes returned to them in one of our lovely cardboard scatter boxes or Macracarpa wooden urns. Generally clients will bring their pets into the crematorium and say their last farewells in our mourning lounge before leaving their pet with us to carry out the cremation. You will then be able collect your pets ashes the following working day to take home. Please feel free to contact one of our helpful staff to discuss your requirements on 096330203

Good Morning Friends, Here is some helpful Information regarding "Private Cremations"
Should you find yourself in a position of having to plan for after life services for your beloved fur-baby and wish to have a "Private Cremation" please if possible contact us well in advance to discuss your "Private Cremation" requirements and to book an appointment. Unfortunately due to demand we are limited in the amount of "Private Cremations" we can carry out each week and placements book out fast.
A "Private Cremation" service is available to pet owners who want their pets cremated privately or who might want to wait while the service is being performed. By appointment only, clients may witness the cremation from our viewing/mourning room. This cremation normally takes between two and three hours. Please feel free to contact one of our helpful staff to discuss your requirements on 096330203

It is with the up most pleasure for us to announce Mary Dormer and her wife Jo Dormer have given birth to a beautiful little boy. They have called this bundle of joy, Edward "Eddie" Arthur Dormer. Mary is taking time off work to support her wife and help out with "Eddie" and will be returning to work on Monday 4 March.
