If an afterhours emergency occurs with your pet, you may find yourself here in clinic with us, here's what to expect in our reception/waiting room...
- When you arrive your pet will be triaged, given immediate pain relief if required or taken straight out the back to the treatment area if a further check or treatment is needed.
- If your pet is stable and comfortable, you will wait in this area before your consult, you can also wait in the car with your pet if they are anxious or prefer a more familiar environment.
- You can alert our reception or nursing team if you feel your pets condition has changed while you wait for consult.
- There is signage advising of the estimated wait time, please be aware that some pets that arrive after you may be seen before your pet due to the severity of their illness or injury.
- There is water, tv, magazines and kids area available for your use, along with a bathroom.
- When it is time for consult, you will be taken to a consult room, we have one reserved for cats to reduce their stress levels.
- The Vet will physically check your pet and work with you to decide on a plan of treatment.
