Unicorn seeking tiny human 💛

Meet Merlin - 13.2hh 18 yr old Palomino gelding.
Merlin is a delight in every way, safe, sensible and more whoa than go making him the ultimate confidence booster type. The kids can do everything with him - no buck, bite, kick, rear or bolt; a mother’s dream!

Merlin is a genuine school master when it comes to safely teaching little riders the ropes and helping them build confidence along the way - he has done pony club, ribbon days, camps, forest, farm and beach hacking, and low level jumping days. He will suit as a lead rein pony or first ridden.

The ideal home for Merlin is one with plenty of variety, lots of hacking out, and the odd ribbon day/low level show - we are not looking for him to go to a competitive home as we believe he now deserves a slower paced life. A farm/hacking home would also be a lovely option for him - as he loves hacking out!

Barefoot, easy keeper, no history of laminitis - just needs grass management, as with most ponies, to keep his weight in check!

Has been a god send for his current rider who lost a heap of confidence on her previous pony - after vowing to never jump again, Merlin helped her get going with her jumping and reinstalled her confidence!

This is a very sad s a l e of a much loved pony, however his rider has well and truly outgrown him and his family feel he still has a lot to give to another little rider.

🩷☀️🦄🌈 SCHOOL HOLIDAYS 🩵🐎💛🎀

School holidays are coming up!! Which means our popular school holiday programs are too!

Pony decorating, unmounted games, hacking, lessons, scavenger hunts, obstacle courses, craft activities, spot prizes and so much more !

Each day is tailored to the age and level of riders attending!

Drop your kid and their pony off for a day of fun! 9am - 3pm.

Lead rein riders welcome - I have a fabulous group of staff; all experienced horsey gals who also have great experience with kids, so a “helper” will be assigned to those younger riders.

This week we have 5 special guests at the farm. Providing them a safe and relaxing space away from the chaos of guy fawkes - as they’re all from urban locations! Providing peace of mind for their owners 💖 very thankful we can provide this service to horses, and owners, in need of it!

I’m pleased to announce the first JUMP CLUB for the Summer! ☀️☀️☀️ at Motu Road

Jump Club is a jumping clinic day with something for everyone! From poles for green horses, nervous riders, or junior riders starting out on their jumping journeys, to the bigger heights for the more experienced and competitive riders - and everyone in between!

Jump club focuses on building confidence, improving and learning new skills, and developing your connection with your horse!

A super supportive, fun and relaxed environment with small groups - max 5 riders.

Classes:
➖ Adults poles-50 (jumping not compulsory)
➖ Juniors poles-50 (jumping not compulsory)
➖ Adults jumping 50+
➖ Juniors jumping 50-65
➖ Juniors jumping 70+

Classes are an hour long - $50 per rider, which includes your arena fee

Hello riders! With the sunny days becoming more frequent (minus Tuesday 🙄) and the daylight hours being longer, I have some available lesson spaces up for grabs!

I am a full time, experienced coach with a specific focus on confidence building, helping riders develop a better understanding of how best to work with their horse, improving rider position and helping riders upskill in both flat work and jumping, and I make sure it’s fun!

I offer privates, or group lessons kids and adults, at your location (within a manageable travel distance) or at my place in Kumeu where we have a full size jump arena !
Note: riders must have their own horse/pony

Weekly or casual basis.

I also offer school holiday programs. And run occasional “Jump Club” clinics!

Introducing "Boo" 🖤

13hh Welsh cross, 18 yr old gelding.

This delightful wee guy is regrettably for sale as his rider has outgrown him. He is a lovely natured pony, and has been there done it all - with an outstanding history as a genuine kids pony - super safe, with absolutely no dirt whatsoever.

Boo has spent the last 2 years with his current family, living a lovely relaxed lifestyle - taking his young rider from lead rein, learning to canter on the lunge, and then riding off lead, jumping cross bars, attending pony club, ribbon days, hacking out and dressage days. Has done plenty of show jumping, show hunter and hunted with previous owners, and is a very honest jumper.

He is easy to handle in every way and stands quietly to be fussed over; kids can catch, lead, tack up etc etc. snaffle mouth, great for farrier (currently in front shoes but has been barefoot), and travels well in a straight loader float.

Boo has had no history of laminitis.

Boo is currently coming back into work after some time off, due to no fault of his own; his current owners have just found having two ponies in work a bit of a juggle since the new pony arrived. This has been factored into his price, and price may go up the more he comes back into work.

He has had arena rides as well as hacking out while he’s been here. A 10 year old rider of mine took him for his first hack across our farm, where he has never been before, and he happily marched along on the buckle, out on his own, off lead, no spook, not fussed by the dogs running around. Totally safe. Video of this available.

Boo is not hot or forward, but riders also don't need to kick, kick, kick to get him going and he has an easy-to-press canter button.

Comes with full wardrobe - fitted saddle (mounted), saddle pad, bridle, boots, covers etc.

Experienced homes only please - this is a special wee guy who deserves only the best of homes where he can show another young rider the joys of life with a pony.
