This little old girl (Millie, not sure if that is her real name or not) was found wandering around Taumanu Reserve on Christmas Eve. A kind woman took her home, took her to the vet and got a sore foot treated, got her microchip checked, and spoke to the owner, who said Millie had been lost for months and that he didn't want her. She had a very matted coat (but I don't think she had been lost for months) and I groomed her between Christmas and New Year. She is 14 years old and a very sweet dog. She is apparently registered as a poodle but looks like a very small cocker spaniel (but with a curly coat) so is probably a cross. The woman who was looking after her couldn't do so anymore, so Millie is now in the council shelter. I spoke to them this morning and asked if I could take her out and hold her for the 7 days - I was told no but assured they were looking after her well and that they don't usually find it difficult to rehome elderly dogs. So - if anyone wants a sweet elderly dog - please consider Millie (after her 7 day hold period).

Molly brought her new baby brother with her for a groom today, now they are off to ski for the winter. Molly always asks that I send a box of homemade treats to her and this time to include an Arlo box too. Always. My Arlo thought the name of the new pup was a great name 😊
