I have seven kittens available for adoption. These are the only kittens I have ready for adoption before Christmas.

*Frodo, B&W short hair female, 9 weeks (can be a little bit shy at first)

*Aragon, black short hair male, 10 weeks - very confident and happy kitten - very bonded with his brother Gandalf

*Gandalf, grey short hair male, 10 weeks - very confident and cuddly kitten - very bonded with his brother Aragon

*Samwise, B&W short hair male, 9 weeks - currently a very shy kitten who would do better in a quieter, patient home however because he’s so young I expect his lovely personality will come out as soon as he’s away from this madhouse

*Merry, B&W short hair female, 9 weeks - very mischievous kitten who loves leading her brother astray …

*Gizmo, black short hair male, 12 weeks - lovely cuddly kitten and would be really well suited in a home with another cat as he loves my cats

*Pippin, B&W short hair male, 9 weeks - very confident, playful and cuddly kitten who loves his sister Merry

All my kittens are:
✅ Desexed
✅ Microchipped
✅ Have their first vaccination
✅ Flea and worm treated
✅ Microchip registered to new family
✅ Well socialised with my dogs and my cats, and enjoy lots of fresh air, sunshine and garden play time

All kittens are fostered with me, in one place, Ponsonby.

The Hobbits are now ready for adoption!

The Hobbits are all one litter, abandoned by their mama and found themselves landing on all four paws at ACK.

They are all short hair little black & white kittens, aged about 9 weeks old.

They have all been desexed, microchipped and had their first vaccination. Every kitten leaves my care up to date with their flea/worm treatments, their microchip registered to their new family, and an option of 6 weeks free pet insurance from Southern Cross Pet.
An adoption fee applies to help me cover some of my costs.

Note: due to a large (and endless) waiting list of kittens to come into the rescue I am unable to “hold” kittens unless in exceptional circumstances. So if you are not going away from the Xmas/NY break now is the time to adopt!

Another cutie pie ready for adoption now 🐾

Taylor the tabby is about 9 weeks old - he’s just a gorgeous playful little man with a big purr and a lovely nature.

Taylor has been desexed, microchipped and had his first vaccination, plus the usual flea and worm treatments.

The beautiful “Cayenne” is still waiting patiently for her home!

Cayenne has a very sweet and loving nature, gently playing with the kittens smaller than her.

She’s one of the kittens found at the Waste Management site in West Auckland, so can be initially wary of strangers - but is now absolutely fine with my dogs and everyone in my house.

She’s cuddly and playful and ready to be loved by her forever family.

Cayenne is just over 12 weeks old, and has been desexed, microchipped and had her first vaccination.

An adoption fee of $220 is asked to help cover some of my costs so I can keep rescuing kittens like Cayenne.

Yesterday, this little man was adopted from me.

Yesterday this little man would run away if i approached him too fast, and he certainly wasn’t a fan of the being picked up and cuddled thing …

PLEASE give the shy kittens a chance!!
This little man’s sisters are still with me and waiting for their forever families to come - they love to play, they love to purr - but they might take a little bit of time to show you this side of them.

After sadly losing Spike over the weekend, I thought a heart warming “glow up” post was needed.

Bumblebee arrived at ACK on 04 November with his eyes practically glued shut thanks to cat flu and weighing just 310g.

Today, 23 days later, his eyes are bright and he weighs a whopping 660g!

*Spike passed away in my arms at 4:02pm Sunday 😿

I beg of you, please DESEX your cats and support the work of rescues.

This is Spike, she is 9 weeks old and today she tested positive for panleukopenia … basically “parvo for kittens”

There is no cure, Spike will be on supportive care until she decides she doesn’t want to fight anymore OR by some miracle we manage to beat this beast together.

Supportive care means no sleep for me - and lots of pain relief, fluids, nutrients, all the good stuff for Spike.

Even with treatment under supportive care, panleuk has a very low survival rate.

DESEX YOUR CATS - even the pregnant ones, please. Spike very likely was passed this from her mother.

GORGEOUS KITTENS - available for adoption this weekend!

These are the litter I posted a few weeks ago, found at the Waste Management site in West Auckland.

Best guess at age: 11-12 weeks old.

I have four girls - their cutie pie brother has been pre-adopted 😊

Cinnamon - tortoiseshell (with stripe on her nose - NOW ADOPTED
Chocolate - tortoiseshell
Cayenne - ginger (red collar)
Crunchie - ginger

All kittens are short haired, easy maintenance! They love being brushed and combed anyway.

All kittens are desexed, microchipped, have had their first vaccination (need one more), flea/worm treated. Their microchip will be registered to their new family and each kitten has an option of 6 weeks insurance from Southern Cross.

All these beauties are with me in Ponsonby so please DM the page to arrange a time to meet them this weekend. 🐾

PLEASE NOTE: these kittens were born at a rubbish dump to wild/stray parents. They are still learning to trust humans so a little patience and love will be needed initially. They LOVE to play but do not enjoy being smothered in a cuddle (much like me really)
They are raised with my two cat savvy dogs so given proper introductions might be fine with a calm cat savvy dog. Totally fine with other cats.

A MASSIVE THANK YOU to the team at Raw Essentials - Raw Food For Cats & Dogs who recently held a promotion where a percentage of each “cat pack” sold was donated to a rescue.

As one of the (or the only?) cat rescues in Auckland (and maybe NZ?) that EXCLUSIVELY raw feeds I was absolutely stoked to be acknowledged by the team.

$375 was raised over the month and a credit put on to my account at Raw Essentials for me to use on product.

This is an incredibly huge help at this time of the year with 18 hungry growing kittens in care plus a long waiting list of more to come in to the rescue.

Kittens, cats, puppies and dogs can and do thrive on a raw diet, if done correctly. For more info you can pop into one of the many Raw Essentials stores around the city and the country and chat to their knowledgeable and friendly team.

Sadly, with 18 kittens in care, my doors have had to close for intake until further notice 😿

At the moment our great vets, Lynfield Vets are only able to do rescue desex work every second week due to rising costs and needing to have space for other clients, so that limits me on how much rehoming I can do at any one time. The good news is - my next desex day is Tuesday 19th Nov which means at least 6 of these cuties will be ready for homes then!

All kittens are:
✅ desexed
✅ microchipped
✅ have at least one vaccination
✅ flea and worm treated
✅ raised and loved with freedom and as part of my family.

Kittens are only desexed etc and adopted out when they are healthy and over 1kg in weight - and no kitten leaves my rescue undesexed.

An adoption fee of $220 per kitten is asked to help cover some of my costs.

Note: closing for intake is NOT and never will be a financial decision. I close when I run out of space to keep the kittens in the manner I’ve chosen to run my rescue - and as I also work full time - I’m limited on time I can cuddle and play with each kitten so limiting numbers ensures every kitten is loved and adored equally.

Abandoned by his mum, and once again let down by humans who dumped him on the side of the road, this little man and his two siblings are now safe and warm, with full bellies and being treated for rampant cat flu at ACK HQ.

PLEASE DESEX YOUR CATS.

If you see a stray cat, or a cat you think could be stray, reach out to a rescue and ask for help. Don’t “assume” someone else will do something. They won’t.

This little guy is about 5 weeks old, and weighs just 310g. He should be almost double that. He can’t see anything at the moment and was left confused and completely vulnerable relying on his two equally small and vulnerable siblings.

6 frightened little babies now in care at ACK.

Found at the rubbish dump, living wild with their parents, these little cuties are now warm and safe with bellies full of food, not parasites.

There’s a mix of boys and girls - tortoiseshells and gingers - around 7 weeks old.

All absolutely adorable and already showing signs of realising that life in a nice house is better than living rough.

Available for adoption in a couple of weeks time.
