Wednesday Crew 🐾
What a wonderful on lead walk today was at ! The crew did amazing with our loose leash skills, holding down stays, passing stock and also a reactive dog. The best bit about going to these spots just after a down pour (which i dont know how we get so lucky dodging it but we love it!) Is that it's super quiet 😁 some of the newer members have a few things we will be focusing and working on and we love watching these pups grow into well mannered canine citizens! Little miss evie our foster from joined us today too!

We met up with some friends and all the doggos did amazing maintaining our loose leash and down stays very well! Socialization means lots of things like getting out and about being neutral in environments and it is not running up to say hi to every dog we may see, this also takes a lot of time and training to get to what you see in our videos and setting a dog up for success to begin with is key. Practice the behaviour you want from your dog and be consistent with it.

Everyone was on their best behaviour today! Beautifully holding their stays, recalling and great manners, so proud of these pups and it's awesome seeing all the happy tired faces at the end of a fun filled adventure!

Happy happy faces definitely feeling the summer rolling on in. We checked out a new trail today. Everyone had a blast hopping and bouncing through the long grass and even managed to slot ourselves into it apparently too 🤣 the nice cool breeze was lovely at the top of the hills!

Everyone did awesome and were on point with their commands and also held their offleash follows so well when an unexpected cyclist appeared out of nowhere behind us 🙌

Play date today! I wasn't able to walk too far today so we took the crew to HQ for some fun in the sun. There was lots of play and we worked our brains with some recalls and emergency recalls. We helped some of the younger crew with their manners and all the pups had a blast!

We dodged the rain, did incredibly well when a member of the publics dog ran up to our pack whilst we were all on lead minding our respectful space and the crew later did awesome maintaining our down stays so well!

We could see the rain was coming and it left almost as soon as it came so we got some awesome pictures in when the sun was out practicing our stays

Some awesome disengaging from other dogs and tightly holding onto our stay (even if you may slip down) and regardless of distractions. Lots of good manners play! We also finished off with a practiced emergency recall as well.

We stayed clean up until the very last moment where someone decided right at the end of the walk to jump in a huge muddy puddle and shake it all over their friends 😂 did something different today with just a bunch of photos 📸 🐕

In these cold winter months our animals need to keep extra warm and cozy, which means we go through blankets and towels quickly!

If you have any lying around, we will happily accept them at our centre reception at 50 Westney Road, Mangere. We are open every day between 10am-4pm ❤️
