Another day in the life of an Equine Vet

Here we have our fabulous Equine Vet Emily Tillett with "Emily" who had a health check last week 😍

Emily is one of our equine superstars! She graduated in 2018 from Bristol University. Since then she has worked in UK equine practices in Devon and Hertfordshire before joining Vets North in December 2023 for the summer months and returned again in October 2024. Emily enjoys all aspects of equine work, having a particular interest in ophthalmology and medicine. Outside of work, she can usually be found camping, hiking and partaking in watersports ⭐️

We are very lucky to have her in NZ as part of our team! 🐴

Vets North had the opportunity to sponsor Brydie in 'The longest & toughest horse race in the world' The Mongol Derby.

A race with a history dating back to 1224, when Ghengis Khan set up the worlds first long distance postal transmission system, all relying on men, their horses and a level of horsemanship.

1500 mongolian horses are trained each year to participate in this race which includes thorough vetting and world class care of this incredible, robust breed of horse.
