📣 Important Updates at Lynfield Vets 📣

At Lynfield Vets, we’re proud to remain 100% independently owned and operated 🐾💙. Unlike large corporate chains, we’re a small, local team deeply connected to our community 🌿. Every decision we make prioritises the well-being of your pets 🐶🐱 and supports our commitment to personal, compassionate care.

Starting 1 February 2025, we will be introducing the following updates to our pricing and booking structure:

1️⃣ General Price Increase:
A small price adjustment 💰 will reflect rising wages and consumable costs, helping us maintain the exceptional care you trust us with 🩺🐾.

2️⃣ Saturday Surcharge:
A $10 surcharge will apply to Saturday appointments 🗓️🐕, ensuring our limited slots are available for pets requiring urgent attention.

3️⃣ Dental Pricing Updates:
Dental procedures 🦷 will now be classified as basic or extensive, reflecting the level of care required for each case 🐾.

4️⃣ Deposit for Dentals & Non-Routine Surgeries:
To address an increase in no-shows ❌, deposits will now be required for dental and non-routine surgical bookings 🏥🐶.

5️⃣ Dental Services for Existing Clients Only:
We are starting to book out for dental procedures until June 2025 📅 and will not be accepting new clients for dental services during this time 🐕🐾.

💡 Important Note:
Any previous documented quotes will be honoured until their expiry date, which is usually six months from when they were given.

These changes ensure we can remain an independent, community-focused clinic that prioritises your pets’ health and happiness. We deeply value your support and trust—it’s what allows us to keep doing what we love 💕🐾.

Due to staff illness, Lynfield Vets will be closing early today, Christmas Eve. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

We will reopen on Friday, 27th December and look forward to caring for your furry friends then.

Closed on the statutory holidays:
🎅 Christmas Day - Wednesday, 25th December
🎁 Boxing Day - Thursday, 26th December
🎉 New Year’s Day - Wednesday, 1st January
🌟 Day After New Year’s - Thurssday, 2nd January

🐾 Apart from these dates and our usual Sunday closure, we’ll be open as normal to care for your furry friends! 🐕🐈

To the parents of two young children seen in the video below (faces have been omitted for privacy), we would like to kindly bring this to your attention. Yesterday, our hose tap connector was taken from outside the clinic. While it may seem like a small item, it’s essential for us to efficiently maintain our beautiful garden boxes 🌸, which are currently in full bloom and bring joy to our team and visitors alike.

Replacing something so small may seem minor, but it’s a hassle we’d rather avoid during our busiest season 🐾. We truly dislike making public posts like this, especially when it involves children 🙁, but we feel it’s important to address the situation. Children sometimes make mistakes and may not realise the impact of their actions, so we hope this can be a gentle reminder to have a conversation about respecting others’ property.

Thank you to our wonderful community for your continued support 💕. Wishing everyone a safe and happy holiday season! 🎄✨

Last week, Alice (our fantastic practice manager) and JoLin (practice owner) attended the NZVA Wellbeing and Business Symposium in Wellington. It was an inspiring event filled with valuable discussions on enhancing wellness in the workplace and strategies for running a successful veterinary practice.

Today marks 6 years since we opened… 🎉 Nurse Jackie, one of our OGs, still keeps the garden beautiful 🌸, and our team is as dedicated as ever. Jolin pops in now and then, but she’s busy up north with an extra baby 👶 and Mog and Dog Desexing Clinic.

It’s been a joy watching your pets grow with us 🐾, from their first visits to the loyal companions they are today. Thank you for being part of our Lynfield Vets family. Here’s to many more years of happy memories together! 🐶🐱❤️
