We’re thrilled to see our colleague Dr Gregor opening his very own evening and weekend vet clinic in Long Bay, Auckland! 🐾✨

Dr Gregor first met Dr Jo back in his student days at Glen Eden 📚🐶, and many of you may remember him from his time locumming here at Lynfield Vets 🏥.

It’s inspiring to see new clinic owners bringing fresh energy and keeping the veterinary industry vibrant and diverse 🌟💡. We know Gregor will be a huge asset to pets and their families in the Long Bay community 🐕🐾🐈.

Cat mating season has kicked off, and kittens can fall pregnant as early as 4 months old.
If your young cat isn’t desexed yet, now’s the time—before nature takes over.

Our mates at Pet Whisperer Rescue Trust has secured amazing funding from the Companion Animals New Zealand for desexing and chipping of community cats in our hood! Check out the link to book in 🫰

SNIP ‘N’ CHIP IS BACK! 🙌 We are excited to be launching a new Snip ‘n’ Chip campaign for cat owners living in targeted postcodes across the Auckland region.

From 17 September 2025 we are working with participating vet clinics, Auckland Council and six Local Boards to offer this service to cat owners who live close to cat-sensitive biodiversity areas.

Vouchers help those living near threatened species sites get their cat desexed and microchipped for FREE 🩵 If your cat is already desexed, you can get a voucher for microchipping only.

Bookings are now OPEN! Click the link in the comments to check if you are eligible for the campaign and register for your Snip ‘n’ Chip voucher. If you know someone who needs help with the online system, you can help by completing the registration with them.

Thank you so much to our participating vet clinics, as well as Auckland Council and the Maungakiekie-Tāmaki, Ōrākei, Ōtara-Papatoetoe, Puketāpapa, Rodney and Upper Harbour Local Boards, for helping us to make this important campaign possible.

PLEASE REMEMBER – a limited number of vouchers are available for the selected areas and the cat being desexed must reside in one of the eligible postcodes. Please, only get a voucher if you need one and intend to use it. In the past, we have noticed some vouchers were never used, or bookings were made with vet clinics and never attended. When this happens, it prevents someone else from using the voucher who really needs it.

Please microchip your pets!! We would rather have seen her reunited with her family than have to call the pound.

This girl was found in Onehunga. No microchip. Please get in touch with us on 09 2187809 if she belongs to you. Proof of ownership required.
