✨️Clipping season is upon us✨️
Re-posting my rates for this season, which remain unchanged.
As everyone knows, the costs of absolutely everything have risen and continue to do so, the cost of new blades, sharpening, clipper oil, petrol etc etc.
I know most will say I shouldn't have to 'justify' my rates, but I feel that giving context does help give understanding to costs. I have also tried to make it as fair as possible with making costs dependent on the size of the horse or pony.
So, what am I charging you for?
○ Over 10 years of clipping experience, my experience has given me a pretty unflappable nature around horses, which I have kindly had many compliments on
○ Efficiency, my experience has also developed my efficiency while clipping, I am often kindly told how quick I am, with plaiting and clipping alike - I like to be as fast as possible, whilst balancing time and quality of finish, so that your horse has use their paitence for as little time as possible
○ Travel - This has to be about my biggest cost, I made the mistake of adding up every travel expense for last season recently, and it was very eye-opening.
○ My arsenal of clipping equipment, I have a number of different clippers, all of which are top of the line and regularly serviced, and I have 'spares' that I can call on should anything go wrong with any of my main clippers, so I will NEVER have to leave you with a half clipped horse, due to equipment failure
○ My arsenal of clipper blades, I have 10s and 10s and 10s of clipper blades, again, with enough so that I NEVER risk having to leave a horse half clipped because all of my blades have gone blunt. I also run different clippers/blades dependent on coat type to give the best finish possible, and this arsenal of clippers and clipper blades has been a huge financial outlay.
As always, I appreciate every single one of you that chooses me to clip or plait your horses, and whilst being covered in horse hair for about 3 months of the year solid in the peak of clipping season, is not my favourite part, I love meeting your horses and love that I get to do this 🤍
