Using EquineCare Probiotic Topical Spray on minor rubbed raw areas and minor wounds can promote healing and help prevent infection. The probiotics in our spray support the natural microbial balance on the skin, which may reduce inflammation and speed up the healing process. Additionally, our beneficial microbes compete with harmful bacteria, lowering the risk of infection in the affected area.

For raw or sensitive skin, initial applications of EquineCare Probiotic Topical Spray can sometimes cause mild stinging. To ease this, try diluting the spray 50/50 with water for the first couple of applications. After that, it should be comfortable to apply the spray undiluted.

Why liquid probiotics for your horses gut health?

Liquid probiotics are superior for your horse's gut health due to their rapid absorption and easy assimilation into the digestive system. Unlike dry probiotics, liquid forms offer quicker action and are more readily available for the gut microbiota, promoting a balanced digestive environment and overall well-being for your horse. Additionally, liquid probiotics often contain no fillers, ensuring your horse receives only the beneficial probiotic strains without unnecessary additives.

"Spent hundreds and hundreds on vet bills for this issue then discovered probiotic and it’s all gone in no time … amazing product!!"

Happy to read this comment from Craig on our post about treating mud fever. Our microbes outcompete and overwhlem the pathogens causing the infection...and no need to remove any scabs.

10/10!! Highly recommend
Amazing product and even better customer service! The only thing that’s worked for my mare’s greasy heel and just the best non painful, non invasive treatment out there. Got in touch with the company with a few questions along the way and they were super helpful!

Thanks for your review Alyssa. Happy we could help. (pic for attention)

Love our latest review and we totally agree. We can't imagine life without our microbes on hand for the horses, dogs, cat and chickens.

We are always available to answer any questions, if you're wondering if our probiotics might help with your equine, livestock or domestic pet.

Early detection and treatment are essential to prevent rain scald from spreading and causing further discomfort to your horse. Regular grooming, keeping your horse dry, and using topical treatments such as EquineCare Probiotic Topical spray can help manage and prevent rain scald.

The first signs of rain scald include:
Small, matted tufts of hair, often with a greasy appearance, particularly along the back, neck, and rump.
Raised, crusty scabs on the skin, which can be itchy and uncomfortable for the horse.
Redness and inflammation around the affected areas.
Sensitivity or pain when touched.

Troublesome white legs 😀
Blessed are those with a chestnut mare with white socks and attitude! Thankfully Equinecare Probiotic came to the rescue after using a number of other products with little success to clear up her legs from constant wet grass! Too much of a good thing is never a good thing! Very easy application that has helped with clearing up the problem remarkably fast. I’ll be ordering more that’s for sure! Thank you 🤩

Thanks for your review Tracy. It is usually those white socks on hind legs that are prone to mud fever or greasy heel. Really glad we could help.

🐴👣 Keep an eye out for these early signs of thrush in your horse's hooves:

Foul Odor: A strong, musty smell could indicate thrush.
Dark Discoloration: Look for black or grayish areas in the hoof.
Softening of Tissues: Check for any soft spots.
Presence of Discharge: Watch out for a thick, black discharge.
Sensitivity or Lameness: Notice any reluctance to bear weight or sensitivity when handling the hoof.
Changes in Frog Shape: Keep an eye on the shape of the frog for any distortion.

Consider using our EquineCare Probiotic topical spray as a preventative measure to maintain hoof health. Early detection can help prevent complications. Regular hoof care and a clean environment are key!

Using EquineCare Gut Prebiotic alongside EquineCare Gut Probiotic offers a dual approach to equine digestive health. The prebiotic provides essential trace minerals and complex carbon to nourish beneficial gut bacteria, creating an ideal environment for the probiotic to thrive. Together, they enhance nutrient absorption, support a balanced gut microbiome, and promote immune health, leading to improved digestion, vitality, and overall resilience in horses.

Equinecare Probiotic

EquineCare Probiotic is a simple spray on treatment for minor skin abnormalities caused by bacterial and fungal diseases such as mud fever, rain scald and thrush.

EquineCare Probiotic is sprayed directly on the infected area. Unlike traditional methods of treating mud fever/greasy heel it is not necessary to remove the scabs from the horse. Our product contains beneficial microbes which essentially overcrowd the pathogens causing the disease. Once the tissue is healed sufficiently the scabs will come away naturally.

EquineCare Probiotic is made from a blend of naturally occuring beneficial bacteria, yeasts and fungi. These are GRAS listed (generally recognised as safe). Our spray is an effective, natural, non-toxic way of dealing with these conditions.

Please feel free to contact me by phone or email with any queries. We have stockists throughout Australia and NZ or you can shop online (we courier within 24 hours).
