Shared the fantastic news with Caixa Nova’s family (Tasanee The Quick Brown Fox) today that in her short time with us doing a few shows she was the 6th best Shorthair neuter/spay kitten in NZ this year. We were rewarded with these photos of her settled into her new family 🥰

Last show of the year today!

Bruno (Tasanee Ticks All The Boxes) and Kelso (Tasanee Zero Fox Given) came along to strut their stuff at their last show as entire kittens.

Bruno also needs his own real estate to show off his collection of Judges Choice ribbons and rosettes, again picked by 2 of the three judges - Bronwyn and Roy today for his combination of good looks and charm! This boy loves being on the show bench testament to his father - Slique Wear The Fox Hat who passes on fantastic genes and temperaments.

Bruno (Tasanee Ticks All the Boxes) turned on the charm again today at the 50th anniversary show for Aby and Somali Club as an Entire Kitten

Ring 3. Emma Kimberly
5th in show

Bruno also took home John Smithson’s judges choice as best entire kitten, and Emma Kimberly’s overall judges choice.

It was an awesome show by the Aby club, I had the honour of handling for John Smithson in his final NZ judging assignment as he has now retired, but I’m sure we will still see him on the circuit!

It’s taken us a while to get back into the show season this year but the boys certainly did us proud today at the Catz Incorporated Karnak National Show

This show is run differently to most and the cats compete in their breed group rather by age or breeding status.

Kelso (Tasanee Zero Fox Given) our chocolate lynx point bi-colour, placed Best in show in all three rings to become the Siamese Group winner and then 3rd out of all breed group winners.

Bruno (Tasanee Ticks All The Boxes) our ebony lynx bi-colour, also placed Best in show in all three rings to become the Oriental Group winner and then ultimately the Karnak Supreme Winner.

We also picked up a number of breeders awards.

We thought we’d found the perfect forever home for Muffy this week but it wasn’t to be…(we always offer take back terms) super sweet girl, 2 years old with a minor show fault.

We have two kittens looking for new post codes!

Super affectionate, well adjusted bomb proof kittens, raised with dogs. Both tagged along to the TOSCA show last weekend and took it in their stride (I even found one being strolled around by a judge for cuddles once he’d finished judging)

We will be at the TOSCA show on the 23rd with a few of our cats including the 2 wee Siamese girls that are looking for some new slaves. Come down and meet us. If anyone wants to enter one of their cats it is still open to entries until Wednesday 12th if you need help entering let me know.

The only time we can picture them together… about 3 am when I’m woken with a snort or fart… our Kittens adore dogs, raised with a 30kg Huntaway and now a substitute mumma frenchy

Kittens went for their first vet check and vax this week!

We also added a second dog to the family last weekend. Cookies, who is just over 3 years old immediately got on with the cats and our Huntaway, Kayla, but we were super cautious with Monkey and her babies as she is a super devoted and protective mama, she decided today was the day to introduce them. They all seem happy with the arrangement 😹

It was moving day today… Monkey had her lovely donut bed in her crate (open but a nice enclosed cave for her and the babies) but she decided to move the donut out onto our bedroom floor - quite the feat, but then decided she needed an upgrade to the unicorn bed, and stole that off the pile of clean washing

PSA, microchips - all our kittens and cats go chipped and registered on the NZCAR database. We went to check a friends cat today (we didn’t do the chip) specialist vet clinic could not find chip during yearly check-up scanning from head to tail. We found the chip first scan, correctly implanted between shoulder blades. Make sure when scanning for a chip the reader is fully charged and with Halo scanners this is the part used for scanning.
