We are trying to get this lovely fur baby back to her family - She has a microchip but we have had no luck contacting them. Bonnie was found on Bishopgate street Birkdale. She was hanging around the area from May the 2nd and was dropped into us on May the 16th. She is 8 years old. If you recognise her or know her family please get in touch. 💕

Smirni the Samoyed is officially the poster fur baby for things that you definitely shouldn’t eat - this time (yes there have been other times!) it was an entire lead! If you didn’t want to go for a walk Smirni you should have just said!!
Shout out to our amazing vet Celine who spent hours in surgery getting it out 😱🤪🫠

FOUND CAT! 🐱🐱🐱

Hi all we have had this beautiful boy handed to us this morning. He is roughly 4 months old, and unfortunately not chipped.
He has some minor injuries but otherwise is very happy and cuddly.

🩷⭐️VET TECH AND NURSE APPRECIATION WEEK! ⭐️🩷

This week we have been celebrating our amazing Vet Techs and Nurses. Without them, we wouldn’t be able to open, let alone provide the amazing standard of care to your pets we thrive for!

We are so blessed to have an incredible team of both Vet Techs and Nurses. I’m sure many of you have met our lovely team, who do everything from monitoring anaesthetics, giving injections, keeping everything clean (vets are horribly messy people!), and as you can see, giving the best cuddles!

We wouldn’t be the team we are without these awesome humans! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

🌺Hi my name is Manuka and I’m looking for a family!! 🌺

We had the privilege of meeting Manuka and his foster mum last week, and after lots of TLC he is finally ready to find a forever home.

“Manuka is a lovely gentle giant weighing in just under 3kg. He can initially be a little shy as he had a rough start to life which left him petrified of humans. But with a bit of love he has learnt to trust and now shows his sweet and docile personality. He is a great eater and loves his hay, daily foraged greens and pellets.

Desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and litter trained he is ready to go to his forever home to be spoilt like the king he is.

Cheeky post anaesthetic tongue blep for Miso!!

Like many dogs, Miso has struggled with some anxiety at times (including coming to the vet), and thanks to the hard work of him and his parents, it has slowly but surely been improving!
We even had some cuddles today, and Miso has been the absolute sweetest. We are so proud of him and so glad he feels more safe with us now❤️❤️

Harbin is officially the Onewa Road GIT surgery champion - she has done 11 gastrointestinal foreign body and tumour surgeries recently - A huge number for any surgeon!

⭐️ CASE OF THE WEEK! ⭐️

👼Meet our friend Angel 👼
Angel was brought in one evening this week after her owners came home from work to find her looking more like a beachball than dog!

Her owners had reported she had only been given a normal breakfast, and they could not think of anything she could have eaten.

The yellow outlines Angel’s stomach, and the pink dotted line shows how big her tummy should have been!

Turns out Angel had eaten A LOT of food- actually too much for her little body!

After passing a stomach tube, 600ml of meaty mush was removed (slide 6) Swipe to pic 4 and 5 to see her after x rays!

❓❓But the mystery remained. Where on earth had all this food come from??

A few days later, Angel’s owners found half eaten a dog roll a well-intended passer-by had thrown into their backyard.

❌Just a reminder that no matter how cute an animal is, if it is not your own, please do not feed them! They can get too excited and eat too much like Angel, or, in many cases animals are on special diets so treats like this can be harmful ❌

We are happy to report Angel is doing well, and she says she had a great time and the best snack ever!!!
