Todays session was all about getting Billy in and out of the car so he can join package walks. Had a great teacher with homestay Rusty teaching him how it’s done.
Leroy’s second training session today and he walked a lot better just needs to put his listening ears on when he gets distracted and new dog alert: Mocha had his first training session, he’s very anxious and needs some work on lead but he did well for his first ever session.
Been working with Billy over the past couple of weeks to get him into the car as he has a bit of anxiety. Today we made huge progress with patience, consistency and making it a fun environment to be.
Today was a nice and relaxed walk to remove any cobwebs as some of the crew had a wee break. Back to normal next week.
Ella joined us in her first pack walk today, did she have some fun. The whole pack had a blast just as Xmas is right around the corner.
Yesterday had 2 training sessions first was Billy, focusing on getting in and out of the car before going for his walk which we focused on no pulling. Then Sam who just needs to get out to get rid of some energy due to his special circumstances.
Apollo decided to visit family today so it was just Moe and I so we joined Wolfies Walkies for a walk, great way to end the week.
Crusie walk to end the week with Apollo and Moe. It was pretty hot out there had to find as much shade as possible.
Thursday pack was a delightful walk with some structured near the road side. All had a blast
Wednesday’s leadership walks: started off with Sam he was ready for his walk and am happy to say his improvement from his first walk has been an amazing transformation. This was followed by kiwi however I didn’t get any footage as I really need to focus on his training at the moment. To finish today I had Milky who is a natural at walking so we had a bit of a play as well as structured walking.
Meet Ella the chocolate lab. Ella has come from another walker who no longer services papatoetoe and has kindly passed her onto me. Her first leadership walk went off with a roar showing me her amazing walking skills. Milky has decided she can’t get enough of me and will be with me 3 times this week. Today was her solo walk with me and as predicted she didn’t need the lead.
Had another special guest today. Since Layla went out with the girls it was only fair that Koda( my personal dog) gets to hang out with the boys today. Moe has been progressing with his recall and it was Apollos first pack walk who did extremely well. All the boys walked well together. I’m happy to say we were all pooped after our walk
