Meet Ripley 🤩

A sweet and loving girl!
Her owner wants her to be socialized, walk nicely on the lead, and improve her recall skills.

Today was her first training walk and she did good!
Since she’s used to doing her own thing outside of home, this was an interesting walk for her.
Ripley is highly food motivated, so she was eager to work with me. We focused on strengthening her commands and recall, alternating between rewarding her with treats and giving her freedom on a longline.
She had a blast! 💥

Training session with Bigsby 🐾

His owners have done a great job with his training and just wanted to make they’re on the right track.

After some placement and impulse control training we focused on his commands by changing the picture to ensure he truly knows them.
He absolutely smashed it-very advanced for his age. Was lovely to see him so thrilled to work.
Awesome job 🙌

Training with Sasha and her owners ✨

We focused on her basic obedience around distractions and different ways of rewarding her.
Getting her to hold her commands is an important part of helping with her reactivity. This helps polish up her self control and willingness to obey her owners guidance.
They both did a great job! 🙌

Awesome work from everyone!
We covered motivation, engagement, targeting, out and body awareness when playing and more! Each dog has a different drive so it was fun to make adjustments to see each shine.

Milos hair usually goes up when passing this house if the dog is barking but your dog may look different - like whining, barking and lunging. When your dog regularly passes a reactive dog at the same house, it builds anticipation which leads to an involuntary reaction. Your dog has been conditioned to know what's likely to happen when passing that house. Understandably, that could bring up emotions of fear, anxiety and stress. Just like if someone were to shout at you every time you passed a particular house, you'd feel the emotions associated with your previous experiences before approaching it. How can you help your dog? 🐶 Alter walking route and occasionally come back to change your dog's association through training. This way you help reduce that stress and give your dog a better chance to learn how to cope.
