We’ve had this lovely guy dropped off this morning. He was found outside Daily Bread in Belmont. He is chipped but not registered. He is quite old and unwell and we would really love to find his owners as soon as possible. If anyone has any information please contact us.

REHOMING
Ginger is a boy. His name is Obi, he is a classic ginger but very affectionate, playful and vocal. He loves cuddles and will always want to be around you.

Tabby is his sister Smudge, she is miss independent. She is the brains where Obi is the brawn but they love each other and get along like a house on fire

They're 1 year old, would be great if they could go home together. Please message if you interested in meeting them.

🐾 Important Notice: Change of Hours at Glenfield Veterinary Clinic🐾

As you're aware, our dedicated team of veterinarians, nurses, and other staff members work tirelessly to provide top-notch care for your beloved pets. Unfortunately, we recently faced the challenge of two veterinarians relocating overseas, leaving a significant gap in our team. The task of finding suitable replacements has proven to be exceptionally challenging.

In our unwavering commitment to ensure the well-being of our staff and maintaining the highest quality of care for your pets, we've had to adjust to our operating hours. Starting from September 4th, 2023, we will have the following new hours:

🕒 Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM 📅 Weekends: Open every other Saturday

All pre-existing evening and Saturday appointments will be honoured, but we will no longer be making appointments after 5:00 pm. So if you already have an evening or Saturday appointment we will still be there to see you.

We understand that these changes may inconvenience some of you, and for that, we sincerely apologize. Please know that our top priority has always been the health and happiness of your pets. By reducing our hours, we are taking proactive steps to ensure that our team can continue to provide the exceptional care your pets deserve into the future.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.

**Update**

The pound has picked her up now.

This beautiful girly was dropped off to us this morning. She was found running around in the streets, close to Chivalry Rd.
She is very lovely but we would love to get her reunited with her family :)

Happy to keep her for the day but will not be able to keep her overnight. If not picked up by closing time she will unfortunately be sent to the pound.

If this is your fur baby please get in touch. We will require some form of proof before pickup :)

Introducing Atlas: A Beautiful German Shepherd in Need of a Loving Home

Atlas is a 5-year-old male neutered German Shepherd with a heart as big as his spirit. Unfortunately, Atlas has been dealing with some challenging recurring skin issues that require ongoing treatment.

Despite his health challenges, Atlas has an incredible nature and a loving personality. However, due to the financial strain of his medications and frequent vet visits, his current family can no longer provide him with the care he deserves. This decision has been heart-wrenching for everyone involved, as they only want what's best for Atlas.

We are now seeking a compassionate individual or family who can offer Atlas a forever home, where he can continue his treatments and truly thrive. While he does require extra attention, I promise the joy and loyalty he will bring into your life will make it all worthwhile.

It is with great sadness that I must announce the passing of our precious Lilly.
Just a few days ago, Lilly underwent a CT scan that revealed the presence of a vicious and painful cancer. The diagnosis was a devastating blow as it is effectively untreatable and rapidly progressive.
Lilly was our shining beacon, illuminating our lives during the darkest of times. She was a source of unwavering support, compassion, and boundless love. Whether guiding visitors through the clinic or offering solace in moments of distress, Lilly was a constant source of selflessness, loyalty, and unconditional love.
Today, we say goodbye to a remarkable soul, a true source of inspiration. Lilly's radiant light touched each and every one of us, leaving an indelible mark on our hearts. Though her physical presence may no longer grace our lives, her spirit will forever endure within us, guiding us through the challenges we face.
May her memory serve as a poignant reminder to embrace life's beauty, extend kindness to others, and draw strength from acts of service.
Farewell, dear Lilly, faithful companion and guide. We are profoundly grateful for the love and joy you brought into our lives. May you find eternal peace and rest, knowing that your spirit lives on, forever cherished and revered.

This lovely boy was found on Hogans Road this morning. He does have a microchip but unfortunately it is not registered. If you know him or his owners please get in contact with us. We can keep him for the day but are unable to keep him overnight.

Due to tonight’s weather forecast, we have made the decision to close early to ensure all of our staff, patients and clients are able to get home safely with their animals.

*We will be closing at 5pm tonight, Monday 13th February*

All appointments have been rescheduled and surgical patient pick ups have been arranged accordingly.

If you are wanting to come in to collect medications or parasite treatments today, please do this before 5pm, otherwise we will be opening tomorrow at 8am like normal.

Unfortunately we have had a deceased cat brought into the clinic this morning. He is a black neutered male with a blue collar that has been tied together and has a bell. He is microchipped but isn’t registered in the NZ database. He was found on Sunset Road. Please call us on 094449552 if you think he may be yours. We will hold his body for 7 days. ❤️

We have a lovely 8 year old female desexed domestic short hair who is looking for a new forever home. She would be best suited to a quiet household with no cats, dogs or children. She can be a bit shy at first but warms up with time, and loves as much company as she can get.

We are currently having scaffolding put up around the building as we prepare to do some repairs and repainting. Tomorrow Friday 5th August between the hours of 1pm to 3pm, our front entrance to the building will be blocked while the rest of the scaffolding is built. We kindly ask that if you need to pop in for any reason, that this not be between 1pm and 3pm as there will be no access. We will still be available all day on the phone or over email, and our surgical patient pick up times will be scheduled outside of these hours. We appreciate that this may be inconvenient and thank you all for your continued support ❤️
