Angel's Kitten Rescue North Shore

Angel's Kitten Rescue North Shore I rescue, foster, desex, and find forever homes for abandoned, orphaned & homeless kittens. You can donate directly into my rescue kittens account below.

I rescue, foster, desex, and find forever homes for abandoned, orphaned & homeless kittens, queens with kittens and pregnant queens. I am a member of the Auckland Community Cat Coalition Inc and have been for thirteen years. The adoption fee I charge covers some of the cost of worm and flea treatments, vet check, desexing, microchipping, medicine, and food & litter while they are in my care. I pro

vide a warm, safe and loving place for the very vulnerable, kittens, mums with kittens and pregnant mums who have been abandoned and are homeless and have nowhere to go. I also bottle feed very young orphaned kittens who have lost their mums. All my rescues are provided with nutritious food and fresh water every day, and warm soft clean bedding to snuggle in. They are treated for worms and fleas and get veterinary care when required. They are given lots of toys to play with and they all receive heaps and heaps of love, cuddles and attention until they are adopted into a new forever home. All my rescued kittens are desexed, microchipped and NZCAR registered prior to going to their new forever homes. I get no funding at all, thats mean no sponsors, and no annual grants like other larger rescues. I pay for everything needed to do my rescue work from the adoption fee I charge. Please donate to help save the lives of these very vulnerable cats and kittens. Angels Kittens

Wolfy & Tala update

Wolfy & Tala were adopted yesterday and went off to their new home with a lovely view on a life style block in Dairy Flat. They are enjoying their new family and getting lots of attention. The kittens have been renamed Daisy & Duke which really suits them. Its so nice to see them entering the next chapter in their journey of life🥰

Wolfy & Tala are doing great, they have grown up so much, they are more like 6 week olds. They now weigh 677g and 623g, and Tala has weaned herself off the bottle preferring to lap her milk from a dish, but Wolfy loves his bottles and has three a day and also laps from a dish. They love their nutritious wet food and kitten biscuits. They love playing, having morning plays on my bed when im having breakfast, and they love play fighting on the couch.

Wolfy & Tala
4 weeks old

Wolfy and Tala are doing really well, they have grown a lot and have put on heaps of weight. Wolfy has put on 330g and Tala has put on 290g in the last two weeks. They love eating their solids and are having a bottle every five hours during the day. They are so playful and just super cute and have gorgeous little spotty patterned tummies.
Also thanks for the generous donations given to help me care for Wolfy and Tala, its paid for their medical treatment and medicines, milk formula, special prescription wet tinned foods, kitten biscuits and kitty litter. Its a huge help especially with the insane costs of cat supplies these days.

Morning play time

The day before yesterday Wolfy and Tala had a bad day with Wolfy vomiting during the night, both not feeding, and feeling unwell. So off to the vet we went where they had a good check over. The kittens were a bit dehydrated, a little cold despite being on a heat pad day and night and probably have a virus. I came home with a bag of supplies being panacur for treating worms and other nasties that live in the gut, antibiotics for infections and a bag of fluids and equiptment so I can give them sub cut fluids everyday until they have recovered and get stronger. Kittens are quite resilient when they get the right treatment so Wolfy and Tala are doing so much better, they are taking every feed so no more 3am feeds, they are starting to eat solids id hills, they are using the litter tray and being normal energetic kittens demanding to be fed every four hours.

Two tiny starving babies

I picked up two tiny little 2 week old kittens last Sunday from ARC Vet Clinic in Albany. The kittens had been bought in to the vet clinic by a member of the public the day before. There were four kittens but two were already deceased. The two surviving kittens were treated at the vets as they were cold, dehydrated, starving and covered in fleas, one was dying but the vets saved him. The kittens had been found outside with no mother around and had been there along time with no mum hence why two were dead.
Since Sunday I have been syring feeding the kittens every three hours with kitten formula including through the night. Yesterday I gave them a clean up with wet wipes as they were filthy and stunk then when dry I treated them for fleas and lots of huge fleas dropped off, and they have a nice warm heat pad under their bedding to keep them warm. They are steadily putting on weight, are interested in their surroundings instead of being in survival mode, and they look much cuter than when they first came in. Today I will be transitioning the kittens onto a bottle and teat. I have named the kittens Wolfy and Tala.
If you would like to make a donate towards the cost of the kittens care, their milk formula, food, worm and flea treatments etc it would be a great help😊
