Violet has a new favorite TV show — watching reruns of Dog Squad NZ : Puppy School on TVNZ+! 🌟 As she snuggles in her cozy spot next to the couch, her eyes light up when she sees other amazing Mobility Dogs on screen. It really is delightful to see Violet, with her ears perked up and her full attention focused on the TV, as if she's saying, "Hey, I know those guys! They’re doing great!" 🌟🐕
This Māori Language Week, we celebrate the language that connects us to the land, people, and our shared history. Just as our Mobility Dogs create life-changing partnerships, te reo Māori brings us closer as a community. Let’s kōrero and keep the spirit of te reo strong!

Blake went to a Rebus group to give a demonstration of his skills. He showed off his "Get it", "Basket" and "Drop it" techniques to perfection! Maple has learnt to not react to food or cats. This shows how good her focus has become and well she waits to be told what it's ok to eat. Such a clever girl! 💚🐾🌟
This video shows Maple's progress of learning to 'speak' over several sessions until she gives the desired behaviour. Each approximate desired behaviour that is demonstrated (first a tiny noise), is reinforced, while behaviours that are not approximations of the desired behaviour are not reinforced, until she gives the wanted behaviour (a full on bark). Lots of patience is required but it is a really fun, really rewarding way of training our dogs. Well done Maple for working the behaviour out. 🌟🐾📣 ('Speak' is command used by our clients if they ever need to call for help)

Martha and Whitman have been practising using the command 'Counter'. This command can help deliver an item to the person behind the counter in a shop, or can be used for the dog to collect an item to deliver to their person. It is also used for a dog to drop an item on the 'counter', like dropping their bowl in the kitchen sink after their dinner. It can also be used to retrieve an item like keys or a phone from the counter. 👏😍 #mobilitydogsnz #countercommand #dogtraining
