Blake went to a Rebus group to give a demonstration of his skills. He showed off his "Get it", "Basket" and "Drop it" techniques to perfection! Mobility Pup in training Rex was there to watch Blake show him how it is done! Rex is lucky to have Blake who is a consumate professional show him how it's done! 🐾👏
Maple, cats and food
Maple has learnt to not react to food or cats. This shows how good her focus has become and well she waits to be told what it's ok to eat. Such a clever girl! 💚🐾🌟
This video shows Maple's progress of learning to 'speak' over several sessions until she gives the desired behaviour. Each approximate desired behaviour that is demonstrated (first a tiny noise), is reinforced, while behaviours that are not approximations of the desired behaviour are not reinforced, until she gives the wanted behaviour (a full on bark). Lots of patience is required but it is a really fun, really rewarding way of training our dogs. Well done Maple for working the behaviour out. 🌟🐾📣
('Speak' is command used by our clients if they ever need to call for help)
Maple in action!
Watch as Maple practices the 'nudge' command, mastering the skill to push pedestrian crossing and lift buttons. 🚶♀️🔵 Every nudge is a step closer to making a big difference!

Otis is truly extraordinary! Demonstrating his exceptional abilities, Otis effortlessly helps tidy up by collecting laundry and placing it in the basket. These are great skills for him to have as a Mobility Dog!🌟
#MobilityDogExtraordinaire #OtisTheMobilityDog
Otis's chill game is on point even with a train roaring by! He's a pro at keeping calm admist the hustel and bustle which will hold him in great stead for when he is out in the community as a Mobility Dog and needing to focus on his partner! 😅🚉

Otis helping with the tidying up
Otis is showing a number of great skills in this video. "Get it" is the first one - this is great for getting or picking up items such as phones, keys, wallets as well as clothes of course! He also shows great understanding of the commands "bring it here" and "basket". He is such a clever boy as well as being big help with the tidying up! 🐾👏🐶

Cats don't bother us at all!
Danny, Otis, Maple, Nushka and Martha are all showing remarkable self control in this video. Not only are they sitting very calmly while a cat is right in front of them, they are also watching the cat eat it's dinner! That shows some excellent training and also some fierce resolve. Well done to all of them!🐾🥳🐱

Martha and Whitman have been practising using the command 'Counter'. This command can help deliver an item to the person behind the counter in a shop, or can be used for the dog to collect an item to deliver to their person. It is also used for a dog to drop an item on the 'counter', like dropping their bowl in the kitchen sink after their dinner. It can also be used to retrieve an item like keys or a phone from the counter. 👏😍

Some of the Hamilton Mobility Dogs were training near Zenders Dutch cafe, where they have just built a windmill. It was a beautiful place for them to rest in the sunshine for a little bit! 🌼🥰
Riley the fast learner! 🥰
Even though Mobility Pup Riley is still very young, she was more than willing to try tugging the basket like she'd seen the big dogs demonstrate! She did a great job of it too!🐾👏

Wee Daphne got a bit exhausted at a recent training session, but luckily Stephen came to her rescue and gave her a rest and a ride in his power chair! 🐾🧑🦼❤️
