Unfortunately the Centre is currently closed while a major renovation to the premises is undertaken and our practitioner Sophie Currie takes her maternity leave.

We apologize for the inconvenience however we are excited for the reopening of our amazing new facility in the New Year and the increased services we will be providing.

Meet Ben 🐾 one of our amazing canine clients who is working hard on strengthening his shoulder tendons. We've thought outside the box and developed a fun and innovative approach to help him achieve his goals: carpal weights! 💪

By adding a little bit of weight to each paw, we've enhanced the classic "shake paw" exercise to engage Ben's muscles and tendons even more effectively.

🐾🌟 Meet Wombat, one of our star patients at BARC! Wombat has been undergoing treatment for cauda equina syndrome, and we're thrilled to share his progress with you. With his owner's dedication to his home care personalised exercise routine, along with his clinical treatment, Wombat responded exceptionally well.

He's now on a maintenance exercise program and receives top-up sessions of Piezowave Shockwave (Soundwave Therapy) and laser therapy to help keep his condition well-managed.

It's important to note that many conditions like arthritis, post-surgical recovery, neurological issues, and age-related weakness can greatly benefit from physical rehabilitation. Meet Shredder 🐈
Her devoted Mum brought her in for an initial consultation to see if we could add or alter her multiple joint arthritis management plan. She was already on a fabulous treatment regime with East Coast Bays Vet Clinic, I added some treatments to work alongside their plan and discussed some exercises that may be beneficial at home to help with strength and joint mobility.
Below, you can see Shredder not at all living up to her name!Being a perfect patient for treatment, followed by her strengthening exercise being done at home.
I look forward to seeing this sweet girl again 💗

🎉🐶 While Lily was enjoying her tasty cheese reward, Jack, the ever-supportive companion, couldn't resist sampling a bit himself. 😄

Lily started her morning with a level 4 laser treatment, which utilizes the power of photobiomodulation to enhance the body's healing responses. This non-invasive therapy stimulates cellular repair, reduces inflammation, and promotes overall well-being. And of course, the scummy cheese made the experience even better for Lily and Jack! 🧀❤️

Next up, Lily received piezowave shockwave treatment for her painful stifle, hips and elbows. Handsome Dodge is being treated following TPLO surgery for ruptured cranial cruciate ligament.
With our companion animal stance analysier, we can see exactly how much weight Dodge in placing through each limb and monitor that week by week.
He is enjoying the anti-inflammatory and pain relief benefits of our K-laser and Piezowave Soundwave machine which helps speed up the bodies healing response, plus the Doggles are adorable!

Donations for cyclone Gabrielle victims. ❤️‍🩹🙏

We will be setting up a drop off point for supplies needed to help all the animals affected by cyclone Gabrielles impact. Rodney Animal Rescue are organising horse floats to transport desperately needed goods down to the region.
Please feel free to drop off anything from the list below to BARC or East Coast Bays Vet Clinic until 12pm/midday Tuesday 21st Feb.
We will then load up a truck and take all the donations to the transport points given by Rodney Animal Rescue.
Please refer to their Facebook for other ways to help, more drop off locations, other ways to donate/help.
