MEET THE RESIDENTS AT RIVERMONTE PARK – COMME FU

Beautiful breed Westfalen showjumping stallion Comme Fu who has been imported from Germany has been spelling with us over the winter and is now returning to work. Sometimes things happen for a reason. I was scheduled to take Eagle to Takapoto this weekend for his first proper show jumping outing since his injury. Unfortunately fate had another idea and I fell off and broke my arm very badly - so no riding in the foreseeable future. Thankfully Oliver Croucher stepped in and after only 3 rides produced a beautiful round to take 4th in the 1.15m. We are very happy owners and Eagle thinks that at long last his World has righted itself. Thank you Oliver and your team.

Rivermonte Park’s equine facilities are now fully refurbished.

19 Large air boxes
Our 50 paddocks are fenced with the safest horse-friendly fencing and the farm is set up so horses will always be able to see others so as not to be stressed or feel alone. The well-maintained paddocks vary in size and have a selection of different grasses, and horse numbers are managed to ensure the paddocks are always in peak condition.
We have a 4000m2 irrigated sand and fibre all weather arena with mirrors, dressage boards and show-jumps/portable cross-country fences.
30m x 15m irrigated all weather lunge/free jump pen.
Rubber floored undercover tie ups with hot and cold-water wash down.
Vet crush
Infra-Red heat lamps
Weigh scales
Secure Tack Room
The 8 horse 20m diameter walker/trot Monarch Horse Walker has a rubber block surface to reduce the risk of injury and is covered so horses can use it no matter what the weather is.
Our 800m all-weather canter track oval also has an uphill pull.
On site hacking on a variety of terrain.
Cross country course for upper-level eventers
Jump lane for young horses.
Knowledgeable staff on site 24/7 to keep an eye on all the horses.
Late night checks round the stables.
Services of top farrier and vets.

Rivermonte Park specialise in rehabilitation and recovery in liaison with our clients’ vets. We use all of the above facilities plus a conditioning pool for ridden work, a linear walk-trot treadmill and coming soon a 2–4-degree saltwater spa. We ensure that every horse gets exactly what it needs to aid its recovery.

Rivermonte Park also offers a range of agistment/spelling/DIY options to suit client needs.
Whether it be your broodmare, weanling, spelling racehorse, horses recuperating from an injury, a horse that needs a freshen up, schooling or DIY we can help.

Rivermonte Park also has 2 very experienced sports horse riders (one has ridden to 4* in Europe and one to 3* in New Zealand) who are happy to take horses in for education or re-schooling.

We know every horse is different and presents with different needs and as such, each horse is given an individual attention tailor-made to suit it.
We also appreciate that owners like things done their way and to know how their horses are progressing. We are committed to keeping owners well informed of their horses’ progress. Communication is the key and as such owners are welcome to view their horses at any time.

If you think we can help you or you would like to look round please contact Amanda or Keith
