Ata Rangi and Nick Downs bringing home the ribbons… Congratulations to the connections on his win at Rotorua on Sunday. A happy horse throughout the race, put two and a half lengths on the field - ears pricked and into his jumps.

A tricky run for our Spanish Lad and Sam Spratt in the Richard Bright Memorial (1500m) on the Cambridge Synthetic yesterday. A courageous finish by the Lad - only beaten by a head... Congratulations to Maria Sanson, Monza, and Danica Guy and her team.

David Hayes was pleased to sail past 600 Hong Kong winners at Sha Tin on Sunday but it was the dominant Class Two success of KA YING RISING that gave the trainer the biggest kick.

Hayes was quick to put December’s Group One Hong Kong Sprint (1,200m) on the table for his three-year-old son of SHAMEXPRESS, who improved his record to four wins from six starts with the most dismissive of successes.

“That gave me a real thrill,” beamed Hayes after Ka Ying Rising snared the Brandy Snap Handicap (1,200m) on Class Two debut. “He’s an exciting young sprinter. To beat upper-class horses like that running that time – he’s got a bright future in Hong Kong.

“I think he’ll have one more run this season. We want to get his rating to a level where he can hopefully represent Hong Kong in December

Congratulations to all the connections of our lad, Macthief, on his win in the Triton Pacific Owens Plate at Racing Tauranga on Saturday. Magic ride by our jockey Triston Moodley in the R82 - 1200m .🐴👍 And - a very big thank you to Bell Racing's Big Boss (Carmen) and Little Boss (Shauna) and all the Bell Racing Team back at the stables for the care and love they pour into all our horses, we couldn't do it without you.

Another nice run by Manawa at Racing Tauranga last weekend in a R65 race with Jasmine Fawcett on board. Manawa only recently breaking Maiden with a good win at Matamata on the 29th February, with Warren Kennedy taking that ride. Thought we might have had the win at Tauranga - but Kungfumaster Panda and Tayla Mitchell must have missed that memo. Congratulations to Dean Wiles on the win.
