Maven Grove Sporthorses is a stud dedicated to breeding high quality horses and ponies for your chosen discipline.

Dallas started Maven Grove after years of riding and watching confusion interfere with communication between horse and rider. She started brainstorming ideas in late 2018, the goal was to create a safe place for horses and riders to come and gain clarity in their communication in order to develop a more positive and rewarding partnership. By definition Maven is another term used to describe an exp

ert in a particular field and Grove offers a sense of tranquility which is important when training horses. It was on these basic principals that Maven Grove is built. Since then the business has grown and developed into two seperate entities. Dallas Hopkins Equestrian has taken over the training and mentoring aspect, continuing to grow and build on the principals that Maven Grove was founded on. Maven Grove is moving into a different area of the equestrian industry, one where we can impact a horse’s education and development from day one. Breeding and producing horses will be the focus for Maven Grove going forward. The goal being to have a selection of high quality mares and stallions to breed top quality youngsters in both ability and trainability. Well it’s that time of year to say Merry Christmas to the army of people that make living the dream possible, you’re all wonderful people and I’m so grateful for all the clients and friends I’ve made along this journey - so thank you ❤️

It’s been a rollercoaster of a year, starting off with me having surgery, a successful South Island Champs, Gus and Stamp needing minor surgery, rupturing my ACL, Linda winning the Amateur SH at Ashburton (with ) before having to retire and educating at Equifest.

Extra big shout out to my mother/full time emotional support person/groom/nurse/vet/whatever I need her to be. If you need any help with confidence or mindset coaching contact her at Pam Poole Mindset Coach.

Special thank you to for being not only an amazing friend but also giving me a push when I need it and tolerating all my rambling nonsense!

Also to for being the best working pupil one could ask for! You’re a star ⭐️ you have done a fabulous job riding when I’ve been injured (which has been a lot this year 😂)

Lastly but most definitely not least, huge thanks to all our suppliers - you guys are just top notch 👌🏻.

Eeeeek! Not long to go now! I’m sure Quizz would tell you she’s been pregnant way too long but unfortunately she has 10 more weeks to go. Plus doesn’t she look fabulous, nothing quite like Hekeao Feed Co. to keep the team looking great 🤩
