โผ๏ธ Attention Halswell Dog Owners โผ๏ธ
As many of you may have seen, thereโs been a rise in Parvovirus cases across Christchurch. We want to assure you that we have not had any cases at Ourvets Halswell, but itโs important to remain vigilant โฅ๏ธ
๐ถ Check your dogโs vaccination records โ is everything up to date? If youโre unsure, donโt hesitate to give us a call, and our friendly team will be more than happy to check this!
๐ถ Avoid high-risk areas like dog parks and busy dog-friendly spots until your dog or puppy is fully vaccinated and protected.
Signs to watch for:
Diarrhoea ๐ฉ
Vomiting ๐คข
Fever ๐ก๏ธ
Lethargy ๐ด
Loss of appetite ๐พ
Parvovirus is highly contagious and can even be deadly in some cases. The virus can survive in the environment for months (even years!) so itโs crucial we all work together to keep our furry friends safe ๐ค
If you spot any of these symptoms or have concerns about your petโs health, donโt wait โ give us a call at 03 322 8331. Weโre here to help! ๐ถ๐
