Next Sales highlight:

We got to prepare and sell Lot 282 for these young lads. He was their first horse and sales experience, it would have been nice to get a few more $ for the boys but such is selling at auctions 🤷🏼‍♀️

Hopefully we get to try again for them another time 👍

Highlights from the Yearling Sales:
I thought I would give you my highlights from the sales (Nat) 😁

Lot 213 Carrera Capitan, owned by P Bielby and D&A Shadbolt.
It was an absolute honour and privilege to prepare this c**t, although I have to convess, he arrived looking sensational 😉
Many years ago I spent my holidays working for David Shadbolt and learning the art of preparing a yearling 🌟 so to prepare a yearling for David was exciting, with a touch of pressure 😉 and we loved the opportunity - Thanks 😃

Yesterday was all about getting the right pose 👌📷

The legs and feet in the right place, the right distance apart, ears pricked with head looking the right way, Jamie out of the way without the yearling moving, photographer ready to snap the photo, Natalie ready to prick ears as soon as the pose is right, will the dog squeaker do it or do we need the umbrella 😉

And then it was time to video them 😳 such a process but nearly all done now.

1st January marks the start of our new season, as well as birthdays for all our Standardbred horses 🎂🦄

As we think back over 2024 we are grateful for the continued support of our owners and look forward to doing it all again but even better in 2025 😃👍

Blithe 🐴

The field is set for the inaugural running of The Dark Horse Trot, a new Group 3 race for trotting mares at Ascot Park this Sunday at 4:04pm. Named in honor of the outstanding mare Dark Horse, this race marks the first time it will be held.

Trainer Nathan Williamson, who guided Dark Horse to her successes, will now look to her full sister, Hidden Talent, to continue the family legacy. It’s going to be a thrilling race - who's your pick to take it out?
