Mariska Lochead - Equestrian services & trekking Equestrian services offer training and lessons, and runs treks for small groups through lagoon, forest and beach. For any inquiries dont hesitate to contact me.

With more than 25 years of experience in the equine industry I offer several services. From fun, adventurous horse treks in the beautiful surroundings at Brooklands lagoon, forest and beach as well as lessons for young and old, beginners to advanced. you will be offered a holistic approach that will include general horse care, enabling you to connect with and care for your new equine friend. The l

essons and treks are always in small groups so you get the most out of your experience. For the advanced rider that means you do get to gallop over the beach, for the novice rider we go at your pace as I cater my treks to the level, safety and comfort of the individual rider. For the lessons that means you get quality instruction. I am also available to travel to your horse to help you achieve your goals. Wether it is helping you out with your young horse, building confidence, getting ready for an event, improving jumping technique, building up your lateral work or just for fun. Swimming trek (one and a half hrs)

This is an unique opportunity to take your horse for a nice dip. This trek will leads through the beautiful lagoon towards our swimming hole so we can have a good splash in the water. You will need to be an advanced rider to take your horse swimming. Only available in summer and subject to tides.

Forest and beach half day ride (4 hours including a snack break)

Suited for intermediate to advanced riders. This popular trek will take you through Bottle lake forest, over the beach to our picnic spot where we will have a well deserved break. We will then set off on our return journey which ventures past the ponds within the forest, and the main stretch back over the beach.
Times can be subject to tides.

Bottle lake forest half day ride (4 hours including a snack break)

Suited for intermediate to advanced riders. We will ride through the lagoon and forest on some lovely designed trails. After riding for hour and a half we will stop to have have a picnic break and enjoy a bite to eat in the company of our horses.
Then we will mount again to set out on our return journey through the forest, past the wee ponds of bottle lake to home base.
