A lot of effort has gone into getting this polished concrete floor to this point. From the outset, Noth-facing, fully insulated, heated, polished concrete floors were at the forefront of this design. Warm & toasty feet coming up! That and a warm, stable & comfortable internal environment for the future occupants of this dwelling.

It was a pleasure working with them on this project. We love their interior styling and unique finishing touches on each of their projects. Okains Bay Bach.

There is nothing like an escape from the city. This rural beach pad in Okains Bay is a home away from home. Lovingly appointed, and built with attention to detail.

Kenepuru Sounds - Bach Alteration.

Our clients had a clear vision for the Marlborough Sounds Bach. A small extension to the east, and to add a second mezzanine level with a new roof.
Together we refined the design until the balance between the exterior form and interior spaces was perfectly balanced.
Large picture windows and doors frame the incredible views to the water, while well placed skylights fill the interior with light, while allowing views through the lush native bush to the water beyond.
The Bach is clad with Tri-clad, finger jointed plywood which avoids the need for distracting ‘Z’ flashings between horizontal sheets joints. The chunky cover battens add strong vertical lines to the elevations helping the form nestle into its dramatic environment.

Redmund Spur House. One of my favourites. This comprehensive new home on the hill in Christchurch came up super well. The clients have done a great job finishing the house and landscaping. The feature cladding is NuWall aluminium weatherboards that that will need almost no maintenance other than a quick wash. What a spot to enjoy Christchurch’s dramatic sunsets over a G&T

This new Halswell house has just been finished. We used parallel chord trusses to create stunning double-height living spaces. These are a cost-effective way to elevate a build without blowing the budget. The timber cladding is LMA hardwood weatherboard cladding made from recycled Australian hardwood telegraph poles. It'll still be here in 100 years.
