Introducing Courtney, our new daycare supervisor! Courtney has worked in Doggy Daycares for two years and studied dog training, animal care and management at Ara. We are very excited about what you have to offer to our daycare team and want to give you a very warm welcome to our Wigram Vet family. 🩵

We also want to say a big thank you to Abby who has finished up with us. We wish you all the best for the future, and you will be missed by all our staff and fluffy friends! 💜

There have been a couple dogs who were at daycare last week who have developed a cough this week. We’re not seeing any increase in Canine Cough cases at Wigram Vets, however if your dog has devolved a cough please keep them at home until they are feeling better.

We had a pretty special mini dog Monday this week... 3 new pups all fit in like they have been here forever :) welcome Lola, Stitch and Bear, mega cute! We have been working on resting quietly in the afternoon and as you can hear they are being so good!

Did you know!? 🤔 Carrots 🥕 (fresh or frozen) are a great healthy treat for your pup! Chewing on a frozen carrot is a good boredom buster and feels nice on their teeth & gums (great for teething puppies!) 🐶😁

Buffy (the black Lab-x) just started daycare on Monday. At first she was very human-focused and not interested in playing with the other dogs. Day by day we saw her start to interact and play .... and look at her now! We’ve enjoyed seeing you grow in happiness and confidence this week Buffy.

Our Story

Veterinarian Geoff Mehrtens is the Founder of the Good Dog Spa and Wigram Vet clinic. He has been planning this holistic pet facility ever since just after the Christchurch earthquakes.

Wigram Vet clinic and the Good Dog Spa includes a companion animal vet clinic, Animal Physical Rehabilitation Therapist, Hydrotherapy, Dog Daycare, and a Groomer.

Geoff’s vision was for a facility which caters to animal health and wellbeing. It is embodied in this new and exciting venture.
