I don't often show my face on here. But here I am in my work room , sporting a newly completed in a lovely liberty fabric I've been saving up for over a year.

Found some time this week to make up sample Cat Collars in some of the beautiful new Liberty tiny florals samples I got recently. I was only meant to be choosing one, to replace the Pink Floral collar which has been a firm fav with cats up and down the motu, which is alas no longer available. However I couldn't choose between these 3 Spring Bloom, Katie and Millie and Poppy Forest so have added all 3 to the website.

Why I'm doing

I hate BFCM sales and the tidal wave of consumerism it encourages. Low-quality products made by low-paid workers that we don't really need and quickly end up in landfills.

So this year I'm inviting everyone to join me in celebrating Green Friday.
Promoting
Take time offline to connect with the important people in your life.
Mindful Shopping - Think about sustainability, supporting local, and handmade quality. just because its cheap doesn't make it good.

Green Friday is all about sustainable choices.

This year I'm going instead of BFCM - it's not hard and it might save you money.

With the start of fireworks season here in Aotearoa, here are some tips to keep your cat stress-free.
1. make sure your cat (+ other pets) are safely inside before it gets dark for the next week or so.
2. close the curtains/blinds and turn on the TV or some music to muffle the noises from outside.
3. if you have a pheromone spray now is the time to use it to help your cat stay relaxed and calm if not organic catnip is also good at reducing anxiety and stress in cats so now is a good time to sprinkle some loose leaf catnip on some toys or the floor (they may well get the zoomies but it's also relaxing and will help them sleep after).

Don't forget the proceeds from the sale of all the Community Kickers is donated to a variety of amazing cat charities working so hard in NZ with all the cats needing rescued, fostered and helping find new homes for them.

they are made as a way for me to use up offcuts of fabric that would otherwise go to waste, but they are still filled with the same natural wool and a pinch of organic catnip as all my other cat toys so you know your getting a product your cat will love.
