Arion Farm Education Park is a facility run by the National Trade Academy at McLeans Island, Christchurch that allows children to see, touch and feed a variety of farm animals. Children can hand feed animals, learn about the breeds in a natural environment. Donkey and pony rides are available and a picnic and play area with shelter and shade is provided. The park and/or party hut is also available

for birthday parties and corporate functions. The farm is one of the few facilities in the country to focus solely on New Zealand farm animals and farming heritage. Children can learn about farm animals, their history and contribution to the New Zealand Economy. Our school holiday programme (Farmer for a Day) is available for parents wanting to give their children an invaluable experience in animal handling and care. Feed for animals $2.50 a cup, pony rides $5 11am-12pm & 1pm-2pm. Family Pass of 2 adults 2 children 1 feed $44 or 2 adults 3 children 1 feed for $49. Arion Farm is a fun, affordable activity for all children and a good safe place to come where parents can relax! Arion Farm Education Park is open 7 days per week, 10am – 3pm, except Christmas Day.

🐷Meet Peaches and Rosa🐷
Peaches came from a lovely family who saved her as a baby after being found by someone on a hunting trip, bringing her home, and bottle fed her. As they were unable to keep her, but wanted a lovely home for her, they gave her to her new family, the farm park
She has become best friends with Rosa, who was bought from another farm park just a week ago.
Peaches' breed is a Canterbury Blue pig while Rosa is a Canterbury Blue cross

Tomorrow morning (Monday 15th), we are having some damaged trees cut down, so a small portion of the farm park will be closed to the public but all animals will still be within reach for you all to come pat and feed.

🐄After 9 months gestation, a beautiful baby girl arrived this morning and was instantly greeted by her aunties who were very excited to meet her! Being a farm educational park, it was very awesome that she was born during opening hours! Video below of the birth 🐄
