Hello,
Unfortunately we have had a black and white male cat handed in that has been hit by a car and passed away.😔No microchip and no collar but he is neutered. We are unsure of which road he was found on. Please contact us on 03 347 9682 if you think this may be your cat.

Friday cuteness!!

How gorgeous is baby Stella!!!

Of course we love all the animals that come in here but just look at her 😍😻

Wee Stella's colouring is due to a condition called fever coat.
This means that her mother would have developed a fever while pregnant due to an infection, illness or stress. The pigmentation of a kittens coat is very sensitive to heat prior to birth so if their mother has a fever it has the potential to effect the developing pigment.

Thankfully there are no health implications for kittens with fever coat and wee Stella is a perfect example of this 😍

Here's a really cool story for your Monday!!

Meet Phoebe 🥰

Phoebe was brought into us this morning by a lovely lady who had been seeing her for a week or so at her farm. We scanned her and thankfully she had a microchip 😊
Upon calling her owner it was discovered that her family had moved from the Selwyn area 3 weeks ago up to Blenheim and little miss Phoebe had somehow escaped from her transportation while they were having a rest stop in Kaikoura!!!
She has been on quite the adventure and will be on her way home to her very happy owner on Monday 😍

Lately we have been seeing a lot of posts on the community page about cats going missing after moving houses.

Cats should be kept inside for at least 3 weeks, we say a month just to be safe!
They need time to adjust to their new environment as moving can be very stressful and they can become overwhelmed.

To be safe and ensure the easy transition to their new home please keep them inside for as long as you can!! 😊

Feel good Friday 🥰

Meet wee Patagonia.....she's got quite the story!!

One day in early January this year, workers at the Hornby Woolworths distribution center were opening containers and who did they find, this little lady hiding inside!
Gingerbread, which she was affectionately named by the workers had somehow gotten into the container in Auckland and had travelled for 4 days with no food or water!
One worker decided to take her home and they have fallen madly in love with her. She is such a lucky girl to have found her amazing new family😍

He has not been neutered and has no microchip.
He was found on the main Highway between William Street and Elizabeth Street.
