🐹💅 Nail Clipping & Mite Treatment💅🐹

Own Guinea Pigs? Otago Cavy Club (Guinea Pig Club) is offering Nail trimming & parasite treatment/preventative at our "Pig in space" Guinea Pig Show , this Sunday for only $10 a Guinea Pig! ✅

2020 NZ Runner-up Vet Nurse of the Year Barbara Coles says, "Regular nail trimming and parasite treatment prevents health issues such as open wounds/sores, pain, and discomfort. It is an important part of cavy care." 🐹

Simply come to the table with a Mite treatment & nail clipping sign on it from 10am till 10.25am and experienced Guinea Pig owners will do this for you.

Today is the final day to send your entries in for the Purebred Show and the Member Pet Show!

If you're new to the fun, don’t worry! Novice Pet Show entries will be taken on the day from 10:00am to 10:25am. 🥰

Have you got you fancy dress ready? We invite all pet entries to enter our fancy dress class with the theme: "Pigs in Space"! 🪐

We can't wait to see you this Sunday! We have an incredible show lined up that you won't want to miss!

If you are interested in adopting guinea pigs, please bring a carrier to take them home. 🏡

🪐 Junior - Owner 13 years of age or under, then split into Roughcoat, Smoothcoat or Longcoat (Coat type of Guinea Pig)
🪐 Senior - Owner over 13 years of age, then split into Roughcoat, Smoothcoat or Longcoat (Coat type of Guinea Pig)

✅ You must pre-enter for the member pet show; entries close on Wednesday, 26th March.

🐽 Novice Pet Show: (First Time Showing) - $7 a Guinea Pig 🐽
🪐 Junior - Owner 13 years of age or under
🪐 Senior - Owner over 13 years of age

✅ If you haven't shown your guinea pigs before, come along on the day with your guinea pigs; no prep is needed. We look forward to meeting you! - Entry on the day between 10am-10:25am

🪐 We will also be having a Junior Exhibitor purebred show, and a Novice Purebred Show, so make sure to enter!

🪐 Note: You must also be a member of the New Zealand Cavy Council to enter the purebred show.

Otago Cavy Club presents our first show for 2025, "Pigs in Space" show!! 🥳

We are excited to be having the marvellous vet nurse Barbara Coles from Zanarkand Stud in Christchurch to judge. We hope to see all Otago Guinea Pig owners at our first show for the year with all your gorgeous Guinea Pigs! 🥰
