Here are the price lists for 2025!

I've tried my absolute best to keep them at the same price for the past year, but with overheads rising and the cost of living the way it is, I too need to be able to support my family and keep House of Kurī going.

It's not a decision I've come to easily and have taken all things into consideration while working out pricing.

🦴 There will be a price increase in the new year. Unfortunately with the rise in suppliers costs and the cost of living, this is unavoidable as I too need to support my family! I will revise price lists and post them in the coming weeks.

Hi House of Kurī team!

I've had a few entire girlies come in lately that are in heat\in season that I've had to unfortunately send home as I can't\wont groom them while they are actively bleeding.

Please let me know if they are in heat prior to their appointment so we can look at rescheduling. If you bring them in, I will have to send them home ASAP as not to disrupt other dogs in the salon.

She can be in heat for up to a month (my girl would be about 5-6 weeks before her swelling went down and everything went back to normal)

Signs to look out for:

🐾 Peeing more often

🐾Swollen v***a (her lady bits)

🐾 Behaviour changes (clingy, mad at other dogs, temperamental)

🐾 Discharge\blood tinged discharge drips

🐾Swollen ni***es

Things you can do for her:

🦴Keep her at home

🦴 Keep her away from male dogs

🦴 Don't leave her in the yard unsupervised (accidents can happen through fences, kennels etc, and both males and your girl can be VERY determined to escape\enter your yard)

🦴 Bi***es britches (I used cheap nappy pants and cut tail holes in them before my girl was speyed, such a life saver!)

🦴 Extra hugs and love!

Thanks to the clients who have been understanding when I've had to send their girls home!

Today was a first for me! I've never met one of these dogs but have loved them since I was a kid.

Meet Leroy the Chow Chow! Such a gorgeous boy and what a big job. I totally underestimated how thick their coats are 😅. Over 3 hrs of bathing, drying, brushing, raking, and combing later and I'll totally be feeling it tomorrow!

I can't wait to see him again, he has instantly become one of my favourite grooms!

Good evening House of Kurī team!

🐾 Just a quick note to my amazing clients, if you've received a message saying that you can now book online for 256 Vogel Street, this is not me! I do not have an online booking system. To book with me, the best way is to either text me or message the page as you've been doing.

🐶 On that note, I still have spots for November. December spots are basically full now, but I will try my best to get all of my regulars in before Christmas.

🎄 My last day of the year will be Friday 20th December 😊. I haven't decided on a starting date for 2025 but that is in the works and I will let you know!

🚨 EDIT: All evacuees are now asked to head to Forsyth Barr Stadium, as St Clair Golf Club has closed. 🚨

⚠️ A State of Emergency has been declared in Dunedin due to heavy overnight rains ⚠️

For those needing to evacuate with pets, evacuation centres are open at Forsyth Barr Stadium and St Clair Golf Club. Dogs on leashes, and other pets in cages, are permitted.

Red heavy rain warnings are in place for North Otago, Dunedin, and Coastal Clutha until 11PM today.

If you need animal welfare assistance, please contact the MPI hotline on 0800 008 333, or local Council for Civil Defence information in the first instance.

Please ensure you have an emergency kit/bag ready to go in case you need to evacuate, and make sure you have supplies for your pets. This should include items like food, a labelled carrier, their registration and microchip information, a current vaccine card (if applicable), blankets and medication.

We’re here to help – our Dunedin SPCA Centre remains open. To all evacuees, please get in touch if you need support. Stay safe 💙
