What's this costume nonsense!

Howl-o-ween is not far away frens!

Nothing like a visit to a local pet shop with the added bonus of a photo shoot!

Oh and my Venison ear I've stashed for later!

Dogs Sniffing Out PTSD

dogs may have the ability to detect early signs of PTSD by identifying specific stress-related volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in human breath.

The study trained two dogs, Ivy and Callie, to discern between breath samples from individuals recalling traumatic events and control samples, achieving accuracy rates over 70%.

This breakthrough suggests that assistance dogs, traditionally trained to respond to visible cues, could significantly improve their support for PTSD sufferers by detecting episodes before they fully manifest.

The research emphasizes the importance of further exploring the dogs' ability to sense stress through biochemical markers in breath, potentially revolutionizing how assistance dogs are trained to aid in PTSD management.
