RAGDOLL COMMUNITY!
I had a lovely lady ring me up Friday looking for some help. If anyone knows anyone in the Wellington area this lady is rehoming her beautiful seal bi colour Ragdoll.
As mentioned, this is a very hard decision, we have both been in tears but know deep down we need to do this to be fair to Tilly.
Tilly loves company, she loves sitting on your lap, and we have her own couch rug, that we put on our lap and she sits on top of it. Her notorious habits are that she loves her Dine pulled chicken wet food in the morning. I have her own special mini dishes and put a heaped teaspoon in every morning and sometimes, you may find she might wake you up by sitting near or on you purring, it is cute.
She loves drinking out the running kitchen cold tap and will test the water first with her paw and then start to drink from it. We still have a water bowl for her but she will only drink out of that behind your back, so you just don’t see her admitting to using her water bowl.
Tilly is turning eight this month, and she does love to mooch around the house, sleep but at the same time, she loves company. During the day if we are not home I will leave the TV or radio going, so it sounds like someone is around and about. Ideally, she would suit an apartment, she has been raised as an apartment cat and wouldn’t be great outdoors, she has escaped a couple of times and she has completely freaked out.
Her ideal home would be a retired or semi retired couple – not with a young family. Tilly is loving and loyal and we are finding this very hard but know in our hearts we have to do this be fair to her.
Both my daughters are in Dunedin and I am moving into another place that is too busy and too easy for her to escape. There is already two outdoor cats fighting for the territory. Before I forget, Tilly can walk on a lead too (we are based in Wellngton).
