Hello Fairlie 👋

A quick wee introduction for those who don't know me, I'm Hillary 🐾

I'm a veterinarian, currently working at the meatworks in Timaru & Pareora.

Prior to working for MPI, I worked for 10 years as a companion animal vet in Auckland, including some very busy after-hours & emergency clinics.

I would like to offer my veterinary services to the Fairlie community as a mobile vet, bringing veterinary care to your doorstep.

While there may be some limitations to what I can do outside of a clinic, I am committed to providing the best possible stress-free care for your pet or working dog in the safety of their home territory.

To begin with, my availability is limited to Thursdays, Saturdays & Sundays, which are my days off from my full-time job. This may come in handy on the weekends, when the local vets are shut, saving you a trip in to Timaru.

Outside of these times, we are spoilt for choice with several other excellent veterinary clinics available in our region. So if I am unable to attend your pet, I will advise you on an alternative available close by.

Needless to say, if your pet needs urgent surgical intervention, or other care which is outside of my scope, I will be able to quickly advise you on the best course of action for what your pet requires and point you in the right direction.

Please feel free to reach out and see if I can help with any of your pet's veterinary needs. Unlike most pets, I don't bite 😂

🐾 microchipping & registration on the NZ animal register
🐾 medical lab diagnostics (blood and urine testing)
🐾 veterinary medicine prescriptions
🐾 first aid for injuries, wound treatment and ongoing care e.g. bandage changes
🐾 dental checks, advice and set up with dental home care products
🐾 veterinary prescription diets
🐾 small mammal vet care (rabbits, guinea pigs etc)
🐾 home euthanasia & access to cremation services.

I am launching my mobile veterinary services by offering to come to your doorstep (within the Mackenzie District) to microchip your mate! $30 for microchipping only, or $45 for microchipping and registration on the NZ companion animal register.

Other veterinary services available on request; feel free to message me for more info on vaccinations, health checks, wound dressing and cast care, medical consults, medication prescriptions and home euthanasia for companion animals and working dogs.

A surgical theatre, mobile X-rays and ultrasounds are on the wishlist for the future, but currently unavailable ;)
