LUCKY TOUCH was too good for them last night at Happy Valley 🥳

He is a graduate of our Karaka 2022 Book 2 draft, purchased by Ohukia Lodge and subsequently being sold at the Ready to Run sales for $210,000. Great to see him getting the job done, onwards and upwards 💪🏼

CONNELLO strikes again and looks to be 1000 Guineas bound 😏🥳

CONNELLO- the little horse that absolutely could 💪🏼💪🏼

She’s skipped away from them today for Tina Comignaghi making it 2 wins in a row for this filly who is right on track for the 1000 Guineas. Huge congrats to owners David Woodhouse and Bill Rutherford. It’s been a massive weekend for these colours watching Belclare do what she did in the Invitation yesterday, we are just so pleased for these very very passionate people!

CONNELLO (Time Test x Baillieborough) is a true little professional and brought up her second win yesterday at Hawera in the 3YO 1200m. She holds a nomination for the NZ 1000 Guineas at Riccarton next month 🤞🏼

This filly was bred by HGT Bloodstock in partnership with David Woodhouse and is a graduate of our 2022 Karaka Weanling draft.

You can’t ask for much more than that-RAPID opens her racing career in stylish fashion winning today down at Oamaru. With no disclosed trial form heading into this, Robert Dennis Racing had her ready to go and she did not disappoint.

A graduate from our Karaka Book 2 2023 draft where she was brought by Robert for $30k. Rapid is a DARCI BRAHMA filly out of a PINS mare in Rivertaine Coup, from the good Rivertaine family that goes back to the likes of XTRAVAGANT and LEGS

Good luck to the team involved with CONNELLO (Time Test x Baillieborough) today as she runs in the Canterbury Belle Stakes at Riccarton.

This time next month our first foals due should be on the ground off and running in these paddocks enjoying evenings like these 😍 it’s come around so quickly but it is our favourite time of year.

That’s a wrap! Our time at New Zealand Bloodstock this week has come to an end with a very pleasing 83% clearance rate with Lot 121 Wooded x Winning Weather c**t topping our draft selling to Kelly Schweida for $40k. Great buying he is only going to continue to furnish further into a lovely horse.

Big thanks to our clients for trusting us with their babies and meeting the market to get them off into their new homes. To all the buyers, well done this was a very genuine bunch of youngsters and we can’t wait to see where they all end up 🥰

Presenting our New Zealand Bloodstock Weanling draft for 2024 🤩 5 c**ts and 1 lovely filly with sire representation by PROISIR, PER INCANTO, DARCI BRAHMA, WOODED and ILOVETHISCITY.

We leave for Karaka on Sunday, and will be ready to parade from Monday 12 noon. Call in and see us at Barn H, there is nice potential in this bunch of babies whether you are looking for trade or to take through to race yourself 😏

That’s a wrap on another beautiful day of prep for our weanlings heading to New Zealand Bloodstock Weanling Sale on the 20th of June. 🤩 We have started their sales media content so keep your eyes peeled as this begins to get uploaded. A very tidy little draft represented by sires that we know get the results game day in PROISIR, PER INCANTO and DARCI BRAHMA, along with c**ts from the first crop of weanlings for Australian sire WOODED (Wootton Bassett), and the exciting young stallion in ILOVETHISCITY. Plenty to look forward to!!

Nobody knows what he whispers to them but TJ is in his element teaching the weanlings how to take 5 and enjoy the sunshine ☀️

Our first load of sales weanlings arrived on farm today and we are excited to begin their prep ready to get up to Karaka in June. Another nice draft this year from us with babies by gun sires Proisir, Per Incanto and the evergreen Darci Brahma, along with young Australian sires Wooded, Brutal and Ilovethiscity. Keep your eyes peeled for the catalogue!

Beautiful morning to get down to the track and watch our Per Incanto x Thatladyrocs 2YO work as she nears the end of her breaking in process. She has a great attitude and really enjoys her work which we like to see She is out of a race winning half sister to Group winner Five to Midnight and Alfa Oro,who won on six occasions over in Australia. We have a super group of people to race her with so hopefully some fun days out over the next few years with her 💃🏻🕺🏻

Our 2YO Per Incanto x Thatladyrocs filly has been ticking over learning the basics with Leon at home. So professional she’s a bit of a teachers pet! She is the first foal out of resident mare Thatladyrocs who is a half sister to Group winning stayer FIVE TO MIDNIGHT and a very talented Australian Sprinter that we never got to see the best of due to injury in ALFA ORO. Her ownership group has just been filled and we are excited to see what she gets up to over the next 18 months. 😍
