Big shift for the team up at Karaka with some nice results, some tough results but a lot of great new homes found for majority in a tricky market. Thank you to those who bought from us we are looking forward to following this crop in the next few years 💪🏼

Could not have done it without our sales team who worked hard making these horses look amazing and had plenty of fun along the way. Special mention to Cate who holds the fort down on the farm at home- we appreciate you!

A patchy day across the board to kick off Book 2 but we managed to sneak in a few nice results
🌟 Lot 740 Ardrossan x My Calendar Girl (owned by John and Adrienne O’Brien) sold to Catheryne Bruggeman, Paul Moroney and Bryan Black for $37,500.
🌟 Lot 845 Jon Snow x Skite (owned by Mike and Anne McSweeney) sold to Paul Beamish Bloodstock for $60k.

Thank you to our super staff who have these horses turned out and presented beautifully. Tomorrow is another day!

Book 1 done and dusted for us today with 100% clearance. Today saw Lot 514 Acrobat x Caveat secure her place in the tangerine 🍊 when she was knocked down to David Ellis for $72,500.

She’s bred to go early and in a stable whose record in the Karaka Million is second to none, so who knows where she could be this time next year. An exciting wait and see for all involved! Congratulations to breeders and one of our biggest supporters the O’Brien family on another solid result

She loved her on farm and loved her at the sales, Lot 114 Per Incanto x Miss Bondi filly sells for $50k and heads home to the Manawatu to join Lisa Latta Racing 👸🏻👸🏼

The Per Incanto x O’Reilly cross is one that Lisa has had plenty of success with in 13 time winner BELCLARE so we are excited to see where this filly ends up

She didn’t get the chocolates today but wow another huge effort from CONNELLO running a gallant 2nd in the Group 3 Desert Gold Stakes today,adding more black type to her resume 💪🏼

From a wide draw she was always going to have her work cut out today but judging by not only this run but also her season to date, there is plenty more in store for this filly

😏HGT Sale Graduates continue to prove that our draft’s provide plenty of opportunities for successful pinhooking following the final day of the New Zealand Bloodstock Ready to Run sale.

🌟 LOT 402 Derryn x Hot Spot sold by Riversley Park for a whopping $420k to Mr KM Yeung. This c**t was bred by good friends John and Adrienne O’Brien and offered as part of our 2023 Karaka Weanling draft where he was sold for $21k to Pinhook Bloodstock

🌟 LOT 265 Per Incanto x Alternative Fact sold by BMD Bloodstock for $260k to the team at Lindsay Park Racing. He was bred by the big boss Helen Phinney and sold in the HGT Karaka Book 1 2024 draft for $85k to Barry and Ed Stapleton.

We love to see our horses get great results- both for ourselves and their new owners. These are genuine horses that head to Karaka to be sold and most importantly are going on to do great things 💪🏼💪🏼

LUCKY TOUCH was too good for them last night at Happy Valley 🥳

He is a graduate of our Karaka 2022 Book 2 draft, purchased by Ohukia Lodge and subsequently being sold at the Ready to Run sales for $210,000. Great to see him getting the job done, onwards and upwards 💪🏼

CONNELLO strikes again and looks to be 1000 Guineas bound 😏🥳

CONNELLO- the little horse that absolutely could 💪🏼💪🏼

She’s skipped away from them today for Tina Comignaghi making it 2 wins in a row for this filly who is right on track for the 1000 Guineas. Huge congrats to owners David Woodhouse and Bill Rutherford. It’s been a massive weekend for these colours watching Belclare do what she did in the Invitation yesterday, we are just so pleased for these very very passionate people!

This filly was bred by HGT Bloodstock in partnership with David Woodhouse and is a graduate of our 2022 Karaka Weanling draft.
