🌱MICRO FACT MONDAY 🌱
RADISH
My absolute favourite microgreen to grow and eat. Punchy and powerful radish goes great with anything you'd add black pepper to!
Steak? Eggs? Mushrooms? Curry? Add a pop of radish over the top or drop it in to a hot kitchen creation toward the end of cooking. It adds new flavour and texture elements and you'll never be disappointed!
Microgreens are truly a super-kai, and radish is no exception. Radish Micros contain vitamins A, B, C, E, and K, they also deliver calcium iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, and zinc.
What are you waiting for?

🌱MICRO FACT MONDAY 🌱
BROCCOLI
Our new weekly series showcases one of our Micro beauties. We talk about the benefits of microgreens to everyone we meet, but what better way to get down to the nitty gritty than backing it up with some Micro Facts.
Our gorgeous broccoli are our most popular individual microgreens, and there's a few reasons why.
Nutritionally, they are absolute powerhouses, containing around 40x the vitamins and minerals of fully grown broccoli.
They contain concentrated levels of Sulforaphane, shown to have a range of potential health benefits: supports an active immune response, fights inflammation, promotes healthier aging, supports a healthier cardiovascular system, helps promote brain focus and overall health.
But.....
Are they tasty?
Although harvested from the same family, broccoli microgreens do not taste anything like their adult counterparts. While older broccolis have a sharp and bitter taste that isn't appealing to some people, broccoli microgreens have a pleasant flavor that’s slightly sweet and nutty.
How do I use them?
Contrary to popular belief, microgreens aren't just a fancy garnish on your eggs bene, or a tasty addition to a salad, they are so much more versatile.
Broccoli can be used as a topping for soups, omelets, pizza, stir fry, tacos, or in sandwiches or subs. They are great in smoothies and juices (and you can even sneak them in without the little ones knowing!)
Keep an eye out for our FOODIE FRIDAY post this week where we will post a mouthwatering pic of broccoli microgreens in action.
We are absolutely bursting at the seams with microgreens 🌱

It's a crazy lil world out there at the moment.
As the national flower of Ukraine, the sunflower has become a global symbol of solidarity for the Ukrainian people.
As we tend to our sunflowers, it's a humble reminder of our privilege to live a life of peace, stability and safety. While millions of others currently, cannot say the same.
We have decided that proceeds from our current sunflower micro run, will be donated to the Red Cross Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal. All sunflower micro purchases made through our website or at our market spots will go towards this donation.
A small gesture of manaakitanga to the Ukrainian people, from our whānau and micro community 💚
