The Canine Ritz Caring love & attention for your precious pooch. Small dogs only, in my own home. Dogs walked 1-3 tims a day, depending on physical ability. Hydro bath available.

The Canine Ritz is for any sized elderly dogs that require special care in a 'home environment' that cannot jump a fence. I mostly take care of small to small/medium, as long as they don’t jump fences. No one has actually tried, they seem to be having so much fun. The dogs will live with me in my home and become part of the family. (I adhere to Doggie Diplomas training methods for those of you th

at train with Cath). Having been in the Pet Industry for over 25 years, I specialise in the administration of all kinds of medications. I have a certificate in Reiki, animal reiki obviously is my thing! I'm also embarking on a grooming course at the moment. You can go away on holiday, knowing you can breathe easy that your beloved four-legged family member will be well loved and well taken care of!

Absolutely love her!
Today was her first groom, she came in for a bit of a tidy up, like our Lily, likes to sit down a lot, when a Spaniel sits they sit, not easy to move. 🤣
Sometimes a groomer needs a second person on hand, I used to help Cheryl when I lived in Sydney, in her mobile grooming business.
We eventually got through it discovering along the way, she definitely does not like the dryer, or the clippers. So I ended up doing a scissor cut instead, to make things easier for her.
I’m sure she’ll get better with practice as far as the grooming equipment goes, but she’s always going to sit and flop, that’s what Spaniel’s do. 🤣
Totally made herself at home afterwards, sprawled out up on my bed. 🤣
Molly smells as pretty as a flower! 🌷

This week’s groom is Trouble.
Had him in last year while I was in the middle of my grooming course.
I remember him as being a bit awkward, cos he likes to sit down a LOT! 🤣
So this time having a proper grooming table I was able to hang him high to clip his nails.
His dad wanted him as short as possible, so he got a #1.

Tuesday - Warning for Waikanae dog owners. Kāpiti Coast District Council is tonight warning of poison pellets that have been placed by a member of the public at Waimanu Lagoon Waikanae Beach.

They say "We've been made aware that members of the public have laid rabbit poison (pindone) around tracks in Waimanu Lagoon. This was not authorised by Council."

Pindone is highly toxic to dogs. If you suspect your dog has eaten pindone call your vet immediately for advice.

Pindone bait is small green pellets. Council staff will be doing a check of the area for pellets.

I hope these dogs will get to go to loving homes.

Had a cute lil visitor this arvo.
Went out to see if she had a mate anywhere near, but she seemed to be solo.
Wandered into the front yard, I put some water in the dogs pool in case she needed a paddle, while I tried to track her owner. There were two ducks the other day wandering around that came from Coley St.
The dogs in the backyard barked at her, so she just ducked off!
