Does anyone recognise this cat? A very old neutered male cat who is very unwell has been found on Huxley road and is in serious condition, we are looking for his owner urgently.

Here are our top tips for preventing dental problems and keeping your canine’s smile in tip-top form:

It's Check the Chip Day - a day to check your pet's microchip and make sure their registration details are up to date!

A microchip is about the size of a grain of rice and is a vital tool to help you reunite with your pet if they get lost, go missing or are injured and taken to a local vet clinic.

If your pet isn't microchipped, talk to your vet team about the process.

If your pet has been microchipped, today is a great day to check your contact details are up to date on the national companion animal register. Head to animalregister.co.nz/ to check your details!

Ugh - That Breath!

no-one came forward for this sweet girl but she made a full recovery and just yesterday went to her new furever home 😻

**URGENT-FOUND AND INJURED**

Could this be your cat? Been hanging around a couple’s house for 2 weeks (Te Hapara/centennial Crescent), when they came back from being away the cat had a head injury/trauma. She is stable but urgent care is required. Approx 6m of age. She is very sweet and affectionate despite her injuries

Our little foster kitten is looking for his forever home! He has had his surgery to remove his broken tail and has been castrated. He will need vaccinating and ongoing flea and worms as well as heaps of love!

Everyone will agree, ticks are pretty gross. They can transfer to your dogs and cats but if you keep up to date with flea and tick treatment they can be kept at bay 👍 😮‍💨

Little Gracie is looking for her new furever home. She is a 4 year old foxy x chihuahua. She’s been speyed and would suit a home where she has lots of company, as she is very loving and enjoys cuddles. She gets on well with cats and other dogs but may be happier being the only dog of the family. She’s a happy, resilient girl who loves beach walks, playing with her toys (especially fetching a ball) and giving kisses ❤️

A young male tabby and white cat has been hit by a car near the roundabout at Ormond Rd/Wi Pere St.

He was brought into us by a member of the public but sadly he passed away before she got him to us. We will keep his body for 7 days. If you think he might be your cat pls pop into the clinic anytime

Keep your cattle 🐄 cool this summer by:

​✅ milking at different times so cows are moving in the cooler parts of the day
✅ installing sprinklers or misters in paddocks or yards
✅ letting cows move at their own pace - which might be a bit slower than usual!

Leaving your inside a vehicle on a warm day is extremely dangerous - even with the windows cracked open. Dogs struggle to regulate their body temperature and can quickly overheat. Don't risk your dog's health this .

You could face a $300 fine if you leave your dog unattended in a car.

If you're worried about a dog locked in a car, please call the Police or your local SPCA immediately.

STILL LOOKING FOR A FUREVER HOME 😢

This boy would be such a loving addition to any active family. He is a beautiful soul ❤️

LOOKING FOR A HOME
This amazingly good-natured, high energy boy was found at Grays Bush nearly two months ago, emaciated and in a bad way. He is now back to good weight and health and looking for his forever home. Ideally this would be rural where he could either work or somewhere he could get a high level of daily exercise as he is young (we estimate about 2 years old) and has tons of energy. He is currently being fostered with 2 small dogs, cats, horses and chickens

He’s neutered, up to date with flea and worm treatments, and nearly up to date with vaccinations.

UPDATE
We are very sad to say that this boy’s injuries were too severe and long standing and we were unable to save him 😿. We will hold his body for 7 days from the date we posted, so if his family come forward they will still have an opportunity to say goodbye 💔

This very smoochy, friendly boy was found last night in Te Hau Road, Whatatutu. He was found injured on someone’s front porch. He doesn’t belong to any nearby neighbours, so we’re hoping he’ll be recognised by somebody?
