Here we go again 🙄
We’ve had an unbelievable amount of weather bombs in the last 18 months. We are vulnerable to the easterly storms and they just keep on coming. Our region is struggling and our farming community have taken blow after blow.
I like to think we’re a resilient bunch, but I’m not sure how much more we can take.

A very special member of the family flew the nest today.

There is so much that goes into raising a happy, functional and well educated young horse. It’s a huge commitment and a responsibility I don’t take lightly.

It’s always hard to part with them but worth every single second.

On this day 1 year ago, a national state of emergency was declared. Cyclone Gabrielle was one of the most significant weather events to ever hit NZ, and is estimated to have cost around 13.5billion in damages, making it the costliest storm to ever hit Australasia. We are still feeling the effects and will do for a while to come.

Today marks 4wks for Luna at her new home and the end of her trial period.
It’s safe to say she isn’t coming home, and I couldn’t be happier that she’s found her forever person. Getting updates along the way of her adventures and how much she’s loved and enjoyed makes it all worth it 💛

We LOVE having updates on our babies! Two very different shades of buckskin..
Dodge (CE Aslan 🦁) is a 5yr old full brother to our Luna. And 4yr old Moose (CE Chocolate Moose 🫎) is out of the same dam and by a pinto stationbred sire. He’s 16.2hh and still growing 😳

My girl passed her vet check yesterday. Which means it’s real. But I don’t think it’ll sink in until the day she leaves 🥺

It’s been a whirlwind few weeks with people lining up to meet her. One special person in particular flew the length of the country to meet her, and all the stars have aligned.
I’m stoked that I think I’ve found Luna the perfect match, but it’s with a very, very heavy heart 💔
