Spring is in the air! 🌸🌱
Everyone wintered so well and all are looking fat and shiny.
Not too long now till Ember pops, but first will be Maddy (last pic) who lives just down the hill. We’re very excited to see what this cross brings!

Well it’s been a minute!

The last month I’ve spent over in the uk, visiting family and friends after a huge gap of 11.5 years between visits.

Now it’s back to reality…Cold, wet and extremely muddy here on the farm. The horses have all been roughing it while I’ve been away but my amazing husband/chief hay distributor, has done a great job of keeping the bellies full!
Spring is just around the corner 🌱🌼

The not-so-little baby of the herd is off on her new adventure next week 🄹 She came in today after not being handled since weaning and didn’t put a foot wrong. She is more sensible than the 2 & 3yr old, and soon to be bigger! 😳 And of course looking deliciously fluffy and feral!

13 years ago this timid little heading dog pup chose me.
Not just any old farm dog. One of my best mates who I will miss every. single. day.

I do love my horse friendly fencing from EquiSol NZ. It allows me to safely fence-line wean my foals which I always rate so highly over abrupt weaning! Bree (CE Somer Breeze) is happy and content with her mates. She can still see and hear mum but can’t drink and is quickly learning to be independent.
