I cannot stress this enough

When choosing someone to break in your horse this season please ….PLEASE do your homework there are a couple very good breakers in Southland or Canterbury I am over handling miss behaving horses what have come from a local breaker I or vets and handlers are not here to get hurt pushed over or kicked because ground work hasn’t been done. Horses are like us they are individuals and some need more time. It’s not about how many you can do it’s about doing it the best job for that horse.

I will no longer be shoeing or trimming horses what this person has started.
For any corrective breaking or behaviour problems I do in the future that cost starts at $3k per horse. Because it is harder to fix a problem after they have been started. Vets have asked why so many horses are being sedated …. Mmm there is 3 reasons why which I won’t go into here. Owners of horses I shoe or trim and vets in the Otago area are recommending for me to do now for the last 2 yrs. Now this will come at more cost.

Due to increased general costs to my business over the past year with fuel, freight, tax etc.
unfortunately i have had to increase my prices i have absorbed these costs as much as i can. I will not be putting on a travel charge on at this time to be review in January.
Prices as follows

Cold shoeing $180 per horse

Hot shoeing $200 per horse

Shoe fronts / trim backs $160

Trimming. $60 per horse

Trimming. $ 55 multiple horses

Remedy work depending on what needs done.
